Coming down to the end - what do we have as PROOF?

I've had a really busy week (haven't had time to watch WTA or read all of the posts), but I want to know what's going on. Skimming through, I see that Howard Stern is now involved! I'm not asking for any speculation here. The only proof I know of is Jason saying he is engaged and happy and he had an "inkling" from the first night. Has that changed with the addition of AFTR2? Is it possible now he's just "seeing" both of them instead of in love or engaged?

Hi there Beachmom,

I've read about everything here and the best I can tell we can either take RS at his word or take a wild guess. Nothing concrete that I can see, though there are good theories.

The blue FRC dress appears to be yellow. Still looks like it is Melissa who has the ring on her hand. If RS had never posted his theory, we would be debating the dress color and rechecking moles, but things would still be on track for a happy ending with Melissa and Jason.

Some say we are missing something in screencaps, but I haven't a clue on that one. I've looked so many times and I still see nothing that points to anything other than what I saw after episode 1.

In the way of actual PROOF positive of any of this, I think we have very little.

FACTS
1. Screencaps show that Jason proposed to Melissa
2. The ATFC show was a closed set.
3. There is an AATFC show scheduled.
4. Jason said at the WTA show that he was happy.

ALLEGED
1. RS was told that Jason dumped Melissa at the ATFC show and took up with Molly. There are others on this board who allege the same. Sources have not been revealed.
2. There are some on this board who are firm this is wrong. Sources have not been revealed.
3. Howard Stern commented on his show that he and his wife saw a spoiler regarding the above allegation/ending in TV Guide, emailed a producer, and was told it was false, just some blogger.

RUMORED
1. At one time or another, RS has given his opinion that Jason and Molly were seeing each other behind Melissa's back. That Melissa was blindsided, and isn't playing nice now with the show. He also states his opinion that this was a big conspiracy plan from the beginning with the show and that Jason was in on it from day one. I haven't followed with his blog recently, so I have no idea where those opinions stand now.

This is how I understand the basics. The rest is all conjecture and what people choose to believe. Anyone else?

This is a great post to get the "facts" out that we know of. I believe that before January Jason said he was "engaged", but at the WTA program, he said he was "very happy"..Didn't mention "engaged"//

You know, this thread makes me think back to last season. Many people doubted the Dee and Jesse conclusion, saying they wanted wanted hard and fast PROOF, as opposed to the well-sourced info of several long-time FoRTers. The fact is that when big non-disclosure agreements are involved, you're never going to get someone to testify under oath that X or Y happened. However, human nature has proved time and time again that people close to the show do talk -- and that the scoop usually trickles out, one way or another. There are people on this board who have access to that scoop, and I've never yet seen them be proven wrong.

Bottom line: in real life, as opposed to on Law and Order, you almost never see a smoking gun. But we have some awfully good detectives on here, and they usually get to the truth before the episode's over

That came from RS. As far as I know, we don't have proof that it was filmed in January.

It could've been taped in December or immediately following the FRC in November.
