I think that either it's private because Jason picked Melissa and he will ask her hand in marriage to her father , who will be present.....
Or he figured that he still had DeAnna in his heart, so they had to make it private because of all the hate fans out there. Maybe he did choose someone, but then later changed his mind to Deanna... I sure hope not!
Or maybe they just didn't want it to leak out, the info on who he picked, so they kept it private.

It's never going to convince me. I might believe they love each other.....doesn't mean I will love them, individually or as a couple. It's just too late for that.

It's all about control. Controlling the reaction of the audience, controlling the leaks. Note Fleiss' response to RS by scheduling the two AFRs--staged or not--he wants to call the shots.

HUH?... What are you talking about? Are you joking or are you serious? Maybe the problem is that this is my first time this season on the spoilers board, I think. So maybe I'm behind on the spoilers. I came over here because after seeing CH's intro, I couldn't take the suspense of what might happen at AFR. (I know, I'm playing right into their hands. I can't help myself).

A second AFR? The person who started the thread suggested that. You mean a different one was originally filmed (not the closed-set one CH alludes to in the preview)?

And if you don't mind my asking, how do we know this?

I was thinking along these lines. I didn't hear that Chris said "emotionally difficult"..but if he did, maybe it was referring to Jason and his F2.

I think the private ending has to do with Ty. Maybe Ty gives out that final rose. It would be intimate and special.

The suspicion that Jason initially picks Mel and then dumps her for Molly is PURE speculation.

As for the after the final rose.. there will be TWO shown. One the night of the finale (March 2nd) and one the following night (March 3). The one on March 2nd is the standard one, and the one after that is the one that is supposed to be shocking and therefore had a closed (or "intimate") set.

All this came up because Steve, a regular blogger of this show, has come across shocking scoop of something that happens either AT the Final Rose Ceremony or AFTER the ceremony. He's going to spill that tomorrow morning. SO Many people have gotten wind of this "spoiler" that Steve has, that the producers of the show are going to combat it with the 2nd after the final rose show to explain what went down.

It could be the Molly/Mel switcheroo.. but it could also be something MUCh simpler like proposing to Melissa AGAIN after actually meeting her parents. It could be that Jason couldn't decide who to pick and asked for more time... It could be that the Mel was a set up from the beginning and Jason finds out that he's been played.. .there's tons of theories out there and we don't know what it is yet. Tomorrow the board will be buzzing with Steve's spoiler... HOPEFULLY that clears things up.
