Reality Steve discussion only **Spoilers**

A couple of historical notes:
1. I got involved in this because I at first thought that RS was blowing smoke. In the process of calling people to ask about him, and then calling folks who were close to the show, I instead learned that Steve was connected and reliable, and stumbled into much of the same information that he was reporting. Everything tells me that Steve is for real.
2. When I started reporting that Jason and Melissa were having serious problems - in late January I believe - I was stunned by the vicious, personal way I was shouted down. I used phrases like "trouble in paradise" and "on the rocks" when what I was actually hearing was that it was over...in retrospect, I should have just come out with it but honestly, I didn't care for the attacks, and didn't think many people wanted to hear the truth.
Some folks still don't want to believe RS, and think that the ATFR is a Jason/Melissa wedding show. I don't agree but respect their right to say it.

Good sleuthing on your part... I recall reading that "someone" which then became "posters" have said that there was "trouble in paradise" but I think that the "rumors" took on a life of their own and with the boards moving so fast, I never knew who the "rumors" originated from... So I am sure that no one meant to attack you personally, just question the veracity of the new info... And we all know how many jokers there are out there that will post anything just to get a rise out of the boards (not necessarily here, but on other boards ... where we sometimes acquire info) so while it is hard on those, like you, who have good info, to be questioned... it is an important part of the sleuthing process... the need to weed out the bad info so we have only the truth left...

I can't imagine a normal person deciding to break up with his girlfriend on or in front of cameras unless he had to. If he was really unhappy and he really cared for her why wouldn't he have called her or told her in person during one of his rendevoux unless he wasn't allowed to by the producers. At that point in their relationship the producer shouldn't have had any control over his daily decisions unless he waived that right when agreed to be on the show to begin with

ITA with the bolded part. I don't understand why it had to go down that way. I don't know if we ever will. They are more than likely going to edit it somehow to make it look like they both knew why they were there. Unless they don't care if Jason looks good(granted I don't know how he ever will) they may have Melissa's real reaction to the break up because it plays on the drama. Maybe thats another reason why RS said the editors deserved a raise maybe they'll do an even better job with the Afters to make Jason look good.

One thing I would note is that if all this speculation is true, then we have Jason proposing to 3 different women in one year which can be considered nothing less than impulsive behavior.
While impulsiveness may pay off occasionally, how many of us can attest to the rash consequences incurred from behaving too impulsively and without enough thought at some point in our lives?

That's one thing I noticed about this season they never mentioned romance at all. Considering what most thought about the sincerity with Jason I found that surprising especially when they brought up the engagemtn. The only mentioned from my recollection that Jason finds a wife. What they neglected to mention is he went through 2 women to get it:nono

Very much a possibility! And very well could explain why he reevaluated the situation and decided to go with Molly (if he does) in the end?

I have no idea why it went down that way. Given his background you would hope he learned from his mistakes. Say he honestly thought Melissa was the one for him and then decided she wasn't. He should of given her the respect Deanna didn't give him and told her straight out and never agreed to the public break up. It just leaves a bad taste in your mouth that he was okay with it. Even if ABC ultimately decides not to air the engagement and break up we all know that is what happened(at least I think we do). Even though everyone disagrees on how it went down.

Why? They have a love story,too. Let this play out..innocent people may be accused here just because someone wanted to be the first with trashy information, and everyone is falling for it.

Molly and Jason very well could have a love story but he proposed to Melissa instead of her and chose to break up with her on TV. Whether or not Melissa suspected is one thing but from every indication of the people that have sleuthed for quite a long time it seems she was not expecting to be broken up with. For me that negates whatever the love story those 2 may have now but thats jmo. I could be alone in that but thats okay.
