100% agree. One thing gnaws at me though. Why has Jake seemed so down in his interviews? Why hasn't he been defending her in some way? If I were Vienna, I would feel like my beloved had left me out to dry.

Let me put my thinking cap on. The reason why Jake was like that in the interviews is 2 fold: !. RS let the cat out of the bag week 2 and they had to divise a plan to have the show carry on, I am almost sure they talk to Jake about it and he had to agree to everything. He gave them ratings galore.

To not talk about Vienna must have hurt him terrible but they might have discuss what needs to happen and had no choice, he could not defend her because it would be a dull season ratings would drop if he gave away the ending, so he play along when time comes for their wedding fleiss master will have to pony up for that big time. So they have payback coming it is the best season in 4 yrs they have and all fleiss is here now is cha ching.

So Jake did what he had to do and keep quiet and on with the show. As long as they make it through from November until now March they will be good to go.

Jillian was an adventurous free spirited person. She never claimed to want to settle down in suburbs and make babies. She loved to party and so does ED... they are a good lifestyle match. Jake came in claiming that he was ready to settle down for the next 60 years with. My guess is that these two are very much in spring break lust love at the moment. Vienna is under a spell of being with someone quasi famous and gets excited at the thought that she landed someone that every other woman in America wanted. Again I see this as her perfect validation that everyone is just jealous of her. She wins!

And by V's admission this is the first time she's been in love. To me that spells disaster.
I really don't see a comparison to Jed, since Jed meshed well early, had good, deep conversation and was rocked my scandal. J&V are a total mismatch to me, but maybe that's a good thing.

I hear what your saying, but if I was V, I would have a hard time getting past a lot of the remarks he has made. It can't be easy for V to keep hearing Jake and CH continue to talk about Jake relationship with one of the girls, especially Ali. Whether he was doing his "job" or not, it has to be hurtful.

Maybe he told her he had to say those things so he's covered. Or maybe when it gets down to it.....she won't care....afterall she did get the "prize" & the ring & some public exposure now to be had on Jake's arm. For the time being...the princess's fantasy is made real......what a deal.....

that's the question - and I firmly believed from the beginning that Jake never intended to take a wife, but take advantage of whatever opportunities come along with being the lead of this show. Just like Deanna.

This show is not worth the number of characters I just just tapped on my keyboard, much less my (our?) time. I loathe that I saw that coming, posted about it in August and September, stuck around to make the real time timeline (sort of sporty fun for me), and then didn't have the good sense to ignore the show entirely until the next edition. It's a stupid show, we all know that, but this particular edition had all the worst (faux scandal and girl on girl drama and manipulations), and none of the best (attractive and appealing individuals occasionally exchanging spontaneous words or feelings that can be funny, endearing, or at least entertaining).

my prediction...

Jake and Vienna will be broken up in time for Jake to make an appearance on Ali's season and for Vienna to be on Bachelor Pad. Who wouldn't want to watch Vienna, Erica Rose, and Shayne Lamas to go at it. Yes please!!!

Well, it looks like FORT will be a pretty quiet place next week, with all the posters who will be staying away from watching the FRC and ATFR. I have always kind of liked Vienna, so I'm happy for them. I'm not going to try to figure out whether his friends and family will like her, or whether they are suitably matched, or whether they will go the distance. I don't care, it's a relatively positive ending (for me) to a reality tv show, and after next week I'll have moved on to something else. If they are happy, I am glad for them and hope they can find a way to laugh through all this negativity. If Molly and Jason can do it, then I'm sure J&V can as well. If they don't, well, c'est la vie.
