What's up with that edit??!! - Page 9

So what they showed us was a cute, perky, girl that caught Jason's attention right out of the limo (and they showed her first), that she is a favorite among the girls and she is a threat. They are also hinting that she's ready to forget the past and move forward. I also believe the theory that when Jason and Melissa did talk - it made quite an impression on the others since they voted for her and thought she'd get the rose. That is why we didn't see it - it would have made an impression on all of us.

So far we've had to get Melissa's story through the eyes of the others - hopefully it won't be that way the whole season.

Well, I couldn't believe that I was scrutinizing caps of Melissa's beauty marks

I prefer to call them beauty marks or beauty spots--freckles, moles, birthmarks, not so much.

Thanks for doing that...I watched the whole episode twice (with some fast-forwarding) and may watch it again.

What you can't believe you did is one step away (well, one very large step away) from what I want: a complete video from start to finish of each of my favorite people (separately, except for scenes they share).

On another thread, Kasha mentioned that the theme seems to be "The third time's a charm." When she said that, it clicked with me that Melissa was edited as coming out of the limo 3rd.
I have charted all of the F4s through the seasons, and the only one who has ever come out 3rd was Graham. The other night when I did the comparison, I couldn't see the significance, but I do now!

We know that in actuality Melissa came out 1rst, not 3rd.

Another little editing trick!

Jason has said that statement about the third time being a charm so many times, that when she came out of the limo 3rd it only made sense. I bet we see some other references to 3 throughout the season. At least we know she won't be the F3.

I love all of the speculation but i really don't want to know who it is - i'm on here to see comments on Vision board girl - she is my friend :-)

I do have a couple of thoughts re: editing trickery

On Trista's season - we all thought it was Charlie because of the editing AND the rumor that Trista got a speeding ticket and Charlie was in the car

On another season - everyone was given a bracelet or a ring - i think it was for screencaps to misslead people

If Melissa is the F1 - why would they make it so obvious?

PS Renee - vision board - said all the girls were super nice.

Although the patterns don't always hold up, in retrospect what I find out in looking back at the pictures is that sometimes we will see them lined up or group together F1-F3. Out of 15 girls toasting and spread out in an arch, the F3 are bunched tightly together to our right with Melissa the obvious one. I don't think that just happened. I am thinking that they take different group shots and then go back in the editing and pick the one that resembles or closest to the F4.

I am looking at a picture of DeAnna's 15 Toast. Graham, Jeremy, and then Jesse are standing next to DeAnna (on her left) and Jason is very clearly seen straight behind her head.

If you don't want to know much about things turn out, it would be best to perhaps not read any threads in this subforum.

Thanks for posting! I'm not very happy with Renee's edit. Btw, each person has a spoiler and non-spoiler thread, so keep that in mind, too.

I'm sure some wonder why each person's thread doesn't have more posts. In my observation, that's because most of the posts about them are in the spoiler-version thread for that person.

I really hope that TPTB don't hold out on the love story and then try to sell it to us in the last episode as we experienced with Jesse. Hopefully she will come into "the light" next week.

Maybe this has been discussed, but what do we have on Molly? I can't see him taking her as far as he does...
