Possible! They like Jason, the fans like Jason, they have a chance for a successful season, so why ruin it by sabotaging it with a overly negative edit?

He will get some, and so will she. I noticed one sour look on her face the other night, and she is usually Miss Sunshine. See...they could easily have left that out. She is going to get a little negative here and there, but I don't think it will be too much.

Only if the Thesaurus has an instruction manual included as an appendix. Fortunately, there are not that many (are there?) synonyms for "amazing."

1. DeAnna wants Jason back and he doesn't understand why.
2. The ladies are fighting and someone actually gets smacked!
3. The gals are talking about DeAnna being obsessed.
4. Megan is a witch that no one likes.
5. Some one got really tipsy.
6. Jason is going to really go-at-it with many many girls!
7. He's going to propose to one of the ladies, probably a brunette, but have no clue which one.
8. The Hot Dog lady was sweet!
9. The vision board and implant girls were wierd and they are glad they didn't stay!
10. Next week the show will only be 90 minutes!

Did I miss anything that a regular viewer took away from this 1st episode?

This is an great synopsis. Im thinking the girl getting smacked and the major smooch fest (by a pool table ?) are part of the GH date. The have papers in their hands and perhaps they are reading from a script.

Well, is there another girl on the show who wears a little gold ring on her right pinky? If not, it's Melissa's DCC ring (like Jenni's) that flashes during the FRC at the end of the "season clips" shown at the end of the first episode. When J proposes, the girl's right hand flies up to her mouth (as usual) and if you slo-mo the clip, you can see a gold ring (on pinky) as her hand is going up to her mouth. I also thought her fingernails looked to short in the sc to be F1, but if you watch the short piece introducing her at the beginning of the show, look at her nails when they span her up in her swimsuit. She has longer nails.

Bloomers, thanks for this thread. I was a little concerned when Jason didn't have any 1/1 time w/Melissa on the first night, because the F1 always has 1/1 time. I saw her sitting with Jason and 4 other gals when they brought in the FIR (I think) and thats IT!

Even though the season clips has convinced me she is F1, the explanations on this thread have pretty much put my mind at rest on that score.

Where can I find the description for next weeks show? I didn't know Melissa was the one going on the blimp date and J would be questioning her seriousness and readiness for marriage, etc.

He is a piece of work by himself. It is unreal what a group of them can think up to do to people. Stephanie who was edited as the confrontational one on Andy's show said in an article the other day that she was across the room trying to untangle some wadded up necklace chains, and she rolled her eyes; Bevin was in the bathroom crying. In the editing, Stephanie said it was made to look like she rolled her eyes at Bevin crying.

Since the PTB did not give us anything of substance between Jason & Melissa, I went back and watched the episode to see what it was they did give us on Melissa (I can't believe I did that) - anyway:
1. The first time we see her is after they finish showing pictures of Jason moving into his mansion, then the VO says "and tonight...." The first picture they show is Melissa getting out of the limo at the M&G and they show Jason's reaction and his obviously pleased "Hellllooo" Later when she actually gets out of the limo they don't show his reaction, but we hear the "helllooo"
2. During her intro she says at the end "I'm ready for everything to turn around for me." This after her discussion that being a DCC doesn't help you get guys.
3. They showed Melissa in several brief shots, mostly smiling and perky.
4. The above quote when Megan says she's voting for her favorite person and the other one guesses Melissa.
5. Chris in a VO says something about how they could vote for someone who is a threat - then immediately there is a shot of Melissa.
6. When Jason takes the FIR the first comment is they wonder if it is Melissa he's giving the rose to.

So what they showed us was a cute, perky, girl that caught Jason's attention right out of the limo (and they showed her first), that she is a favorite among the girls and she is a threat. They are also hinting that she's ready to forget the past and move forward. I also believe the theory that when Jason and Melissa did talk - it made quite an impression on the others since they voted for her and thought she'd get the rose. That is why we didn't see it - it would have made an impression on all of us.

So far we've had to get Melissa's story through the eyes of the others - hopefully it won't be that way the whole season.
