Regarding the editing:
Jason : Last night is the first time I don't really feel for him. I agree with other posters that Jason is a pleaser, so maybe he wanted to please the producers and the women too much. To me, he kissed too many in the same setting, and he asked too many questions about the drama inside the house and missed the opportunities to get to know the women better. Maybe his mind was already set up? Hopefully, he will redeem himself by getting rid of all the drama queens and trouble makers.

Melissa: I agree she did not get the perfect edit last night; however, I think it showed some different sides of Melissa. She told Jason she's hard on herself, she was shown happy for Jillian's rose, she seemed friendly with Naomi, Shannon, and Molly, so she's well-liked. Next week, we are going to see a vulnerable side of her, which shows that she's more than a bubbly cheerleader. I was disappointed, but not surprised, her kiss with Jason was not shown, too revealing, maybe? But their chemistry was still undeniable, the way they were sitting so close and Jason rubbed her legs show the intimacy that I don't see with others. Also, in one of her PIs, she said something about the only diamond she cares about it the one on her ring finger - foreshadow?

Jillian: I see they are very comfortable with each other, although I feel their jumping on the bed is kind of odd (ducking from tomatoes thrown my way). Is her comment "I don't want to be the flavor of the week" another foreshadow?

Shannon: poor girl. Although she's portrayed stalker-ish, she really is harmless, and sweet in a kind of nerdy way, IMO. I love the outtake of her impersonating others, it shows she's fun to be with. Oddly, I find her endearing; you can't say she's not there for the right reason.

my lil sister who is 21 and in a sorority...watch the show every monday night at their sorority house...she said they all love the drama and love watching it...personally i would have rather watched shannon's impersonations and the fashion show last week...but viewers love the drama too

Wow,maybe we are at a disadvantage here,knowing the end result of this show. It has dimmed our appreciation of what the editors are trying to spin.As for me,I'm getting impatient and getting confused as to what the editors are trying to do.There's still no clear cut lovestory here and I'm on the brink of boredom.Ah well,maybe next week,...

Everyone who goes on this show eventually gets a bad edit. (except I don't recall Andrew F getting any bad edit)

Firestone didn't get a bad edit because he was geniune about the whole process. You could see he geniunely wanted to find someone, and he didn't do anything crazy like tell two girls he loved them (Andy anyone, never forgave them for it)

He also gave the relationship a chance. It's so not surprising that Andrew is one of the few Bachelors who is married.

Agreed! Waiting until HD's to see the love story begin is proving more than my patience will allow. Oh well, at least we know the ending, and can avoid that nasty emotional attachment to an inevitable F3 or F2

My take on the edit is they are showing Jason being real serious about finding a mate. To that end they will show the weeding out of the girls, one by one: that's where the drama comes in (and Jason is part of that drama). We will not get a love story because that ruins the drama and the slow weeding process. Jason, like Andrew F., is serious about this to the point I think he will work real hard to make this work. I usually don't like any of the early shows because I know they are going to focus on the girls who get eliminated. I think the previews of the F1 proposal is a shout-out to the sleuthers, but Fleiss can't do anything about showing the love story because it ruins the drama. It would be interesting to compare Jason & Andrew F. show, both people CH thought were in it for real, with a show like Matt's.

I totally agree. If we didn't know the end we would be analyzing the kisses, the looks, the touches to see which were real and which were producer induced rather than criticizing every little thing. We'd be taking the journey with Jason, which I believe would cause everyone to be a little easier on him and Melissa.

That actually does make alot of sense - he has to rule out the imposibilities - to really find the possibilities.......... one by one - they are gone and the love story will evolve

I didn't notice until now that when Jillian got the date rose, her hair was up. So, does that mean she got it prior to her one on one time with Jason?
