I am wondering if Jason or the producers pick which lady to go to which 1 on 1 date. If it's up to Jason, I think it's safe to say that he's interested in knowing Melissa more very early, so he picked her for one of the first dates.

So I think you are on to something that they don't want to reveal the F1 right away if there was a huge spark between them. With Matt, you could tell he was impressed with Shayne right away (as he was Amanda) but I think his British reserve did keep you guessing, (even though his chemistry and attraction to Shayne were evident)
I know Chris H. said there wasn't much drinking, well I think Jackie and Megan definetly had more then a few. Didn't Megan admit that in her Facebook? Too much drink, not enough food? I think Megan's edit will start off on the wrong foot and never recover. She probably would have loved to have a chance to start the night over.
One thing I find a bit humouress with Jason, is this whole speculation that he has to talk to Melissa to find out her more serious side. I know for the wife / step Mom aspect for the future. However, this is the same man who'd jump up and down when he saw Deanna? I think they'd be some kind of happy, seeing the glass half full, not empty giddy, perky pair!

Thank you - I am not very good with the techy stuff, but I have always found analysing the edit to be fascinating!

First of all, don't apologize for bringing up any season or example as I staunchly believe that The Bachelor operates on the Re-cycle Theory. They use many of the same ideas over and over again, so citing examples from past seasons helps others to clearly understand as you state your case.

Except when Megan lost her temper and cool ( while under the influence) and directly addressed the other ladies as %^%##$, she simply was vocalizing her thoughts. She gave them what they needed at that point to make and edit her as the confrontational one, and they ran with it.

The whole ironical bit with Jason and Melissa is really funny when spelled out the way that you have. We did see him edited as the almost giddy one last season, and now he is looking for someone serious.hehe

Personally, though we see and hear his serious side in regards to Ty, we have seen enough of his other side for me to think that he and Melissa are two peas in a pod.

Maybe when Jason sees her after being apart on the show he can jump up and down with his hands in his pockets, and Melissa can do some cheerleader flips and jumps! And someone can hold up a sign saying 10, 10, 10. (maybe Ty and the "Ted" ducks) Okay I'm getting carried away now with the imagery.

PS We talked about Megan's edit, but don't we think Shannon is going to get the overly dramatic, unstable girl edit. Now that one screencap makes sense when Shannon is talking to Jason (you see that back of her head), andd Jason doesn't look too interested in hearing what she has to say.

There theory goes so far:

Molly and Melissa are the F2s according to screencaps.

Molly seems to be the purple dress girl Jason walks back down the path because he is going to propose to the other girl. (F1)

He proposes and puts the finger on a brunette girl with a light blue dress, her skin appears olive toned (Melissa) and she has freckles on her lower part of arm, that match screencaps or photos of Melissa's arm.

That is the cliff notes so far as I understand it.

It's just that we have the hardest time with those darn horses. Either we can't figure out who is on them, what is around them, or where they are located. Of course, the goes back to when we tried for weeks to figure out Noelle's horseback picture, and we were even looking for surrounding cows to see if that would help us.

One thing is FOR SURE - anyone who show's any amount of controversy is never F1.

It was very clear that Kirsten (Andrew), Chelsea (Matt), Bevin (Andy), Moana (Travis) could never be F1.

But then you have seasons where F1 and F2 could be interchangeable Jen and Sadie (PLo), Tanya and Mary (Byron)
