The edit last night was so anvilish. Look how great Molly is! Never mind that the other girls all seemed to like Mel better. And of course, they left out Molly's kissing contest and her smug comments.
If he was sure in his choice over who the future daughter-in-law was to be I would agree with your assessment. The time to offer advice is when your son is undecided. After he makes his choice, you accept and embrace his chosen one. A family concerned about their loved one being hurt again trumps being nice to a girl who could be your future daughter-in-law. Maybe they regret having been too nice in his previous two go rounds with love. I recall DeAnna's family having been a bit tougher on Jason than they had with Brad who they gave a nice welcome into their family.

The other girls like Melissa better as a friend. Jason made it clear that he was looking for more than his best friend.

Re: What's up with that edit??!!

I'm still going back to the hot tub scene between Jason and Jillian. I couldn't (and still can't really) understand the point of airing that scene considering Jillian is F3 and got the friend card and is apparently being considered to be the next bachelorette. Then I realized that this scene was trying to show us a different Jason, a negative view of him, and I wonder if CH fishing for the "1st base comment" wasn't trying to tell us "this guy is not as innocent as he seems, actually he's quite sleazy"... comments?

I don't get why they showed so much of that either. Right before he sends her away. I just don't get that one.

Some have suggested (including Jillian)..that the WINE and the atmosphere had something to do with all the "hotness"...The fact that they showed that particular scene knowing that Jillian was going..shows how callous TPTB are regarding ANY of the participants. Fleiss only cares about HIMself...HIS ratings...HIS future...PERIOD....nothing or noone else does he seem to consider in plotting out his little stories....

The wine? HAHA

Well...it happens to the best of us.

I just don't see why TPTB aired it like that.

Could've saved Jason and Jillian some grief.

How does that scene benefit ABC? I guess sex sales, that seems to be their mentality. Same for the massage and other overtly sexual nuances.

This scene hurt Jason's "reputation" of good guy a lot IMO.

Is this the start of Jason's being thrown under the bus by TPTB. We will need to see a steamy scene with either Molly or Melissa or both to balance it as we have had in the past Bettina and Deanna, so the general viewers can say that okay Jason has stronger feelings for someone else. If there are no other steamy scenes the general viewer is not going to understand why Jillian doesn't get a rose and Jason will look like a cad.
This is what I posted back on February 15th so is Jason a cad, was there balance between the hot tub scenes. There is some damage control being done by Jillian when she states it was the wine and takes part of the blame for the scenes.

Melissa certainly appears to have bonded more with the other women, at least according to the edit we're seeing, and the post-show interviews seem to back that up. I find it interesting that Jason did feel it was important that they all get along (he commented as much to Jillian in the coffee shop in Seattle). Although nobody in the house outwardly disliked Molly, she didn't appear to be anyone's favorite (except Jason's, apparently). Personality-wise, she would seem to have something in common with Deanna.

Maybe that was the point...maybe Fleiss wanted the audience to see Jason as "falable" to prepare for the fact that he will lovey dovey all over Melissa then dump her....
