1. DeAnna wants Jason back and he doesn't understand why.
2. The ladies are fighting and someone actually gets smacked!
3. The gals are talking about DeAnna being obsessed.
4. Megan is a witch that no one likes.
5. Some one got really tipsy.
6. Jason is going to really go-at-it with many many girls!
7. He's going to propose to one of the ladies, probably a brunette, but have no clue which one.
8. The Hot Dog lady was sweet!
9. The vision board and implant girls were wierd and they are glad they didn't stay!
10. Next week the show will only be 90 minutes!

Did I miss anything that a regular viewer took away from this 1st episode?

Didn't Chris Harrison say in his blog that no-one got drunk at the M&G party? If I remember he said that because they all knew who Jason was the M&G party was pretty toned down and Jason of all of them kept the same drink all night.

I know he said Jason kept the same drink all night, but if Jackie didn't sip a few, I'd be very surprised.

Bloomers, like you, i see the doubt that TPTB are trying to give us with Melissa. That reminds me of Jesse...I don't think any of us thought that he would make it far...although he did get a first impression rose (and was the first to get a first impression rose & win, correct?)

I was dissapointed that we weren't shown 1-1 time with Jason and Mel...although since Jason says he's transparent, maybe he made it obvious that he was into her from the very beginning and Fleiss is trying to downplay it on purpose???

I agree with what you have said here! Jason's face just gives it ALL away and the regular viewers would have guessed right off! We also know that is NOT a short night!!! He spend a good deal of time with all the ladies! So there WAS time with M and we didn't get that because ..errrr I think it's going to become obvious!

Yes, Jesse received one of the FIRs and he won, but the very interesting thing about that is that Jesse didn't receive his rose from DeAnna. If you will remember, that rose was Jenni's pick! DeAnna picked Jeremy out of the limo, and she picked Richard because of his nice qualities. I have forgotten why Jenni picked Jesse, but DeAnna said she concurred and went along with it.
So technically we still have never had a single FIR winner who went on to become F1.

On her site, Megan has bemoaned having too much to drink and too little to eat which is what we have heard happens every season. It may have been tempered some out of respect for Jason, but you can bet the liquor was available and flowing.

Jason is the one CH specifically mentioned only had one drink or at least the same drink all night.

Oh that's true, i forgot about Jenni! And i guess it doesn't happen in this season either...I wonder if TPTB tell the Bachelor/ette not to pick their absolute favorite right of the back to keep everyone in suspense???

I love this thread. Thanks for starting it! I agree with the theory stated here that Jason doesn't have a poker face and if there was interaction between Melissa and Jason we didn't see it esp. if their was fireworks. I did find Melissa bit shy (which I thought was appealing. She isn't so shy she couldn't speak to him, but shy and down to earth enough to admit she was nervous right away. I thought that was appealing) I kind of was turned off by the uber confidence of Molly and Lauren. But that's me. I know men like that. Even self help books say women should do that when dating men. I like people (men or women) that are real with their strengths and weaknesses.

So I think you are on to something that they don't want to reveal the F1 right away if there was a huge spark between them. With Matt, you could tell he was impressed with Shayne right away (as he was Amanda) but I think his British reserve did keep you guessing, (even though his chemistry and attraction to Shayne were evident) Sorry to bring up that season here.

I know Chris H. said there wasn't much drinking, well I think Jackie and Megan definitely had more then a few. Didn't Megan admit that in her Facebook? Too much drink, not enough food? I think Megan's edit will start off on the wrong foot and never recover. She probably would have loved to have a chance to start the night over.

One thing I find a bit amusing with Jason, is this whole speculation that he has to talk to Melissa to find out her more serious side. I know for the wife / step Mom aspect for the future. However, this is the same man who'd jump up and down when he saw Deanna? I think they'd be some kind of happy, seeing the glass half full, not empty giddy, perky pair!
