And I have a feeling that Melissa is being set up somehow to be "thrown to the wolves." As for Molly, there's something quite strange in how she's portrayed--if I had to put it in one word I'd call it either self-contained or unconnected.
Disconnected - perfect word for what I felt watching her HTD tonight! Thanks

True.

But historically we know TPTB have some (or total, depending on which variation we hear) control over the order of the roses. Why wouldn't they just HAVE him give her the rose last as they've done in the past?

Why edit in that "suspense" when that's one VERY easy thing to not have to manipulate. Unlike interactions and conversations which they have to splice and dice, they could have dictated rose orders like we know they've done and not need to edit that scene.

So what was REALLY behind that? To me the fact that was done POST-RC says something...I just don't know what. Ha ha.

If it was ::really:: as clear as to who was F1 all along like some have said, they'd have ordered Mel's rose later for that reason.

That makes me wonder if Jillian may have been the suspected F1 after the HTDs, thus building on the suspense of would she break J's heart from the week before, and would he let her go because of that. Then, something transpires next week and things are changed up...thus TPTB needing to re-edit to make it look like the suspense is somewhere it actually perhaps wasn't.

Oh wow... very, very good point!

Good question! In his PIs and narratives, he's stated how he's now realized that he wants to be needed in his next relationship - as if it's something that is new for him. From her comments and those of her friends, I sense that her most recent relationships have equated to her being arm candy for some bad boys. While I prefer Jillian, between the parental thing and the loser boyfriends saga, I felt bad for her.

To me, it is like they've set it up for him to ride to the rescue and save the damsel in distress by the end - apparently in jaw dropping fashion.

Why did they show a deleted scene between Jillian and Jason?

Are you asking about the one at the end of the show or the one at Chris Harrison's blog?

I don't know about the blog one, but in the past ABC has shown a funny scene as the end credits roll of the F3 the week before she goes home.

It was Jillian on both accounts.

IMO, because they didn't want to show Jason in a bad light. He can't still blame Jullian, like he did Naomi, for not being ready for marriage or having a family. Also, he will no longer be able to say that he is afraid that Jullian will break his heart after she spilled hers out to him.
