eta What about Helene in Aaron's season? Wasn't she a bit confrontational?

It was obvious to me that Travis's first love was ( and probably always will be) medicine. I was told that he was so antsy during his downtime between dates, that they sent for his medical books to keep him happy. I think that all Travis had on his mind was really getting back and finishing that residency. To be honest, I don't think Travis was at the right point in his life or in his mind to seek love. I don't really think any of the girls had a good chance at it. The way the story came out was that halfway or so through the process, Travis decided it wasn't going to happen. He was the good friends with Sarah that you saw. He made a behind the scene's arrangement with Sarah to take her to F1 and then see if anything transpired from there. It didn't because basically they were just what we saw - good friends - and because Travis spent his time in the ER at Vanderbuilt. I saw Aaron's season on the cable stations re-runs last summer with all episodes one right after the other. I had been on Chris Harrison's now defunct message board shortly after they broke up, and I remember CH saying that it was Helene for Aaron from the very beginning - the first night. With that in mind, I was watching more to see how he interacted with Brooke F2 and the other girl, Gwen, who has always been remembered as one of the wonderful F3s. I remember Helene was a little snooty and played hard to get, but I didn't remember her being confrontational. I remember she pulled a Tessa and threatened to leave which made him want her more.

| Re: What's up with that edit??!! To be honest, every season I have seen has seemed a little "off" to me. Meredith was clearly into Ian and Trista into Ryan. But as for the Bachelors? Which one seemed to be the most into his F1? I have only watched about 3 Bachelor seasons, so I don't really know. But the reason I tuned in for Jason was that he really seemed to want to settle down. Having a kid just compounds it more. |

And don't forget "the process". You guys really have to believe in this process. | |

| Re: What's up with that edit??!! I haven't read all of the posts so I apologize in advance if I say something that's been covered. But I wonder if it's possible that after all of the hype with the last Bachelorette of it being a fairy tale ending and then everyone ending up SO FURIOUS.. that maybe the producers are truly offering a fairy tale story this time. Jason was beloved by soooo many and they (the producers) would probably suffer great wrath if Jason ends up being portrayed in any way other than a gentlemen that picks a woman he loves. My point is that maybe they will edit this show and have given hints already so that we can watch a true fairy tale story take place. So basically... that the obvious is obvious on purpose so that it all becomes romantic again and some of the synicism (sp?)dies down. Just a thought! |

Exactly, but with what I (originally theorized by Casual Fan can't give us just a sweet love story no matter what).Jason will choose the lovely brunette that we have seen at the FRC. ![]() However, she is just blurry enough that you can't see exactly who she is. ![]() Now, we get these previews of DeAnna ( who looks controversially like Melissa) returning to tell Jason that she has made a mistake. Immediate outrage....she had her chance, and she turned him down. How dare DeAnna come bustin' back in and tried to win him back? ![]() Meanwhile, Jason is doing his round of pre and early show interviews. He is playing right along with the scenario with carefully worded answers. "Yes, I was surprised that she showed up." Yes, she said she made a mistake." "You will have to watch and see what happens." ![]() Even Ellen plays into this ploy with her card of the Bachelorettes on one side, and DeAnna on the back ( which since she usually gives her predictions, I think was done on purpose to help ABC advance this carefully orchestrated ruse). Notice he stops just short of saying what she was really doing there, so he helps the producers heighten the suspense and foster the pretense and deception they are trying to perpetrate upon the viewing public. The non-viewing audience which doesn't realize that DeAnna doesn't come back until the very last episode has all season to sit and think that DeAnna may win Jason back, and that the brunette that they saw at the FRC is DeAnna. They are going to stay tuned in to see this drama. We know from sleuthing that it isn't DeAnna, but instead is Melissa. ![]() (Even if by some very wild chance it wasn't Melissa, it would be Jillian - but it isn't DeAnna). Darn Fleiss I don't know whether to tip my hat off to him for the cleverness of that strategy, or to figuratively shoot him a bird ( not really my style, but )

| Re: What's up with that edit??!! Like usual, you've nailed it in your very thoughtful analysis, Bloomers. One can almost see the wheels turning in Fleiss' little evil brain. I'm sure the plan was not there in the beginning of filming, but was hatched in early to mid November ... let's see, DeAnna breaks up with Jesse the first week of November and Jason's intended becomes Melissa, a brunette who looks quite a bit like De (especially from the back). Let's get DeAnna to cut her hair about the same length as Melissa's, fly her out to NZ, get her to say some carefully scripted words to Jason while giving him "advice" that can then be edited to sound like something entirely different. We'll rile up the viewing public and make them think DeAnna is in competition w/ F1. It is pretty genius and pure Fleissian. |
