I think this is where are jaw dropper could be. What if Molly's storyline continue to paint her as having a strong physical relationship with Jason (I am trying to phrase this in a nice way ) and feels he has wronged her by leading her on and then letting her go at the F2. Then add Melissa's storyline of being extremely sensitive to Jason showing physical connections with Molly(and others) and then Melissa finds out about Jason and Molly's strong physical attraction. This could create a combustible combination especially if TPTB choose to make this a full out conflagration. The storylines for each at this point, lead me to think this might be coming to a head.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my recollection was that Alex's F1 accepted the fantasy suite card (presumably ahem, that Was first season), but Trista turned it down. I think the trouble came later, when she found out Alex had been in touch with Trista (supposedly telling her he'd made a mistake not choosing her).

The trouble came when Alex was "engaged" to Amanda and saw Trista on the sly and continued to have "romance" with Trista and then Amanda found out about this and ended it.

Also, Trista didn't turn down the FD suite card; Shannon the F3 did, though.

You're right! Not to veer too far off current season, but I couldn't help remembering how horrifed Alex's mother seemed to be that he'd even consider getting engaged to Amanda or Trista. Took him in the kitchen and practically begged him not to give one a ring (which he didn't, bought the ring but kept it).
