| Re: What's up with that edit??!! yeah, I think that's part of it. I keep thinking about Jason describing his kiss with Mel as "passionate". He used that word only to refer to Mel so far and I really think that's what's lacking with Molly. She obviously digs him, but I don't see that spark of life or passion that he may want in a partner in Molly. |

I never 'got' why Chelsea was Matt's F2, so we may be left with the same feeling after this season - we're down to F5 now and still don't have the warm and fuzzies for F1 or F2 (or F3 for that matter)

Sometimes I think that word is passed around a bit too freely.

Next, Molly had a 1-1, and therefore didn't go on this group date; however, Molly was deliberately excluded from a previous group date earlier. She has not been around Jason as much as some of the others. ( Am I the only one who thinks it is curious that Molly got excluded from a group date? Notice that both Jillian and Melissa were included on all group dates. I personally think he took both of them because he wanted to not because "he needed to know them better" but did not need to know Molly). In his blog, Jason has carefully defended Molly by saying that they talked all night and that she didn't mean to make anybody uncomfortable (cough, Melissa who smelled him on Molly) by the fact that he loaned her his clothes. Regardless, the edit specifically colored that date in a particular way, and I think to point to a certain outcome. In the following excerpt from Chris Harrison's blog, notice how he describes Molly's date: I loved this date since it gave us another Bachelor first. The first ever Bachelor walk of shame home in the morning in his clothes. The looks and reactions from the other women were priceless. Melissa summed it up best when she said sadly she "smells like him and is wearing his pants." Even Chris Harrison referred to it as "the walk of shame" which connotes something wrong, shameful, negative. This is not a description of the F1. Chris Harrison has just inadvertently given us his first F2 clue.

It is indeed a pressure cooker created by TPTB to elicit such strong emotions in a short period of time. It works, too. The majority of those sent home are quickly back to normal once they are out of the situation.

I really can't believe she actually said that. There's a reason they refer to it that way, even if it's a bit tongue-in-cheek.I also noticed that she had the grace to blush pretty hard when the girls gathered round and were asking her about the date and about her attire. ![]() I hope we don't have another Panty-gate scene, a la Chelsea, on the FD for Molly. But, I think they are giving her that kind of edit so far, which is so unnecessary. The tent flap zipped, the sounds overlaying the visual, conotate something, even if it was as innocent as can be.

In this case, it is Melissa herself who is getting hurt by all of her self-professed honesty of negative emotions which just opens her up to other people's judgement of her. When I was teaching fulltime instead of subbing, I used to tell the Middle School kids I taught that "Everything that goes on in your head does not necessarily need to come out of your mouth." I love Melissa's bubbly personality, but she does need to learn that she doesn't HAVE to share everything she thinks and feels to still be an honest person.
