I think the one thing that has me perplexed is Fleiss's verbage in an interview he gave. He states that "this" season "had" a chance at the couple ending up married. Could be sloppy grammar, or he could be telling it like it is. For all those on the Melissa train, it will be discounted, but in my opinion there is something behind that particular comment. Someone earlier posted about three times....I totally agree with their assessment. I don't think Jason, not "finding" someone was an option.

I am cynical, as well. [edit] Jason and Deanna are friends. Jason said, in an interview, that he had not seen or talked to her since they parted and appeared annoyed at her visit in NZ. Right there we have some major scripting.

In the name of entertainment they recruit some because they know who they are getting. Less risky than relying on the interview process for the entire cast. This is commonly done in all reality shows. It means nothing. If love can happen, it will with a recruit as easily as an applicant.

I expect this relationship will fizzle like most of the others. Nothing wrong with that either.

Because from press reports and her epi 1 introduction, she is now an employee of a (prominent) restaurant chain, not a designer available to work for hire.

Yes, Jeremy was a huge Favorite. He was my favorite . But Jason had a lot more fans than Jeremy (I still can't figure that out). Of course the producers are going to go with the most popular and play on our sympathy. Poor single dad, can't find love, gets rejected..let give him his fairy tale ending.

One thing that I have noticed is that Jeremy appears to be carefully toeing the company line in interviews and when he posts here. Just like Jason and DeAnna before him, he is very careful how he words and states things so that he is stating nothing negative about the Bachelorette.
Now considering the way that DeAnna, Jeremy, and Jason were treated and from their obvious hurt reactions, they have some negative opinions. However, they only state positive opinions.

I think it is because they were told to do so in preparation of possibly becoming the next or a future Bach/ette. It looks much better if you say only positive things about your experience and the person who basically publicly misled and humiliated you.

I believe that Jeremy may have been given the hope of becoming a future Bachelor. He too was extremely popular, but the single father who was rejected at F2 with the new chance at love makes for the more dramatic storyline, so Jason would be the first one up.

Jason, Jeremy and Graham all had a huge fan base, but Jason had the cute son factor and being gilted at the proverbial alter (so to speak). We even had Ellen tell Deanna during an interview that if she didn't chose him, he should be the next bachelor.

I would've preferred Jason find love in his own hometown and connected with someone who he didn't meet among 25 women during a 6 week period.

As long as they don't do a Bachelor with Jesse, I'm good - I won't watch that.

Hi Biz - I know you're a die-hard Jesse fan but he'd be worse than Blob (the only season I didn't watch 'cause of who Bach was). I can't imagine many tuning in to watch him - he didn't have much of a fan base.

Jason is what most women want in the end. A man who takes life and his family seriously but still wants to have some fun and be adventurous. The life of the party, or the "cool guy" isn't usually good husband material IMO

Bloomers, I have been wondering the same thing. I sense that maybe, just maybe there is still some hope for Jeremy to be the bachelor. I would have been much more excited about this season, watching him. I do like Jason. I can't see Fleiss choosing Jesse, but then again, who knows.
