I did not post last season, but I felt that once Graham took himself out of the show that the show was over. Anyone who was F1 would be fulfilling a role, and I could not see DeAnna, given her career aspirations, would choose being a step-mother. It did not matter to me who was F1 because I doubted it would last past the media ride.
I have to agree once again on all counts. I think Jason is a nice guy, but I wonder if the very same women that will claim to be in love with him or falling for him, would feel the same way about Jeremy or Graham if they were the bachelors...and as you said, I wonder if Melissa or any of the other women were the bachelorette, would Jason be picked as the F1 among guys like Jeremy, Brad, Graham, etc. Maybe...but for me, the answer would be no.

On the West Coast (or maybe just DirecTV in the LA area), "Get Married" comes on at 4:30am! That show didn't have to worry about getting Neilsen ratings from me, and especially not at the (b~++) crack of dawn.

Very interesting. Thanks mome2jk for finding that video. Makes you just think "Shame on Fleiss" even more.

Re: B13 Thoughts and Comments

Are there seriously some girls who don't get a date... not even a group date? Ah what is the rationale behind that?? Isn't the idea for Jason to get to know all of the girls so he can determine who he is best suited with???

It doesn't work and we've seen that for ourselves.

I also watch as a guilty pleasure. But I must confess that I have not watched the last few Bachelor seasons all the way through. I usually tune in for the first two or three episodes and then come back toward the end at F3 to see who is still there. I don't know if I will stick with it this time or follow my past m.o. I also don't know if I am up to watching the return of Deanna.

It is interesting that Melissa does resemble Deanna. I certainly hope that she is not like her emotionally. That would definitely spell doom for Jason.
I agree with all of the above. Jason certainly does have a "type" - petite brunette with big brown eyes, but then a lot of men do. I like Jason more than many of the previous Bachelors, except the two Andys, and those were the only two shows I watched all the way through. I usually pick a girl that I think matches the Bachelor best within the first 3 shows. She usually ends up in the top 3 (I nailed it with Tessa), but sometimes his choices don't seem quite right so I stop watching (and I've been right about most of the quick endings of the romances). I stopped watched Deanna after she let Graham go because I knew none of the others really interested her that much. I have no opinion of Melissa but she wasn't my choice for F1 and am surprised she is the spoiler pick.

Re: B13 Thoughts and Comments

I am cynical when it comes to this show, I also watch it for a guilty pleasure. However it seems to me that history repeats itself. Evident with DeAnna coming back and trying to even the score, so to speak. She was going to have her "fairytale" ending, no matter what. And she did...well sort of. She did get engaged and a man did profess a willingness to marry her. I never thought that she was into Jason, he ended up as F2 by default. Fastforward and now it is Jason's turn. I have no opinion in regards to Melissa. I find it interesting that she didn't "apply" for the show, but was recruited. Correct me if I'm wrong on that count. If she didn't apply on her own, then I have to think that the producers wanted her for a reason... and look who ended up as F1. Not someone who "applied" for the show, rather a recruit...hmmm. I think the one thing that has me perplexed is Fleiss's verbage in an interview he gave. He states that "this" season "had" a chance at the couple ending up married. Could be sloppy grammar, or he could be telling it like it is. For all those on the Melissa train, it will be discounted, but in my opinion there is something behind that particular comment. Someone earlier posted about three times....I totally agree with their assessment. I don't think Jason, not "finding" someone was an option.

I just watched and caught that too. It's hard to tell but I think he definately almost said her name. He catches himself but plays it off and doesn't even really bring attention to it but he does wipe off his brow. Maybe someone else who is better at this could watch and see if they can possibly catch it.

bringing this over here for discussion perhaps?????

Maybe you can see it in Melissa in the next couple of shows?

Please keep posts on topic in this thread.

This is from our FAQ:

Our contestant threads are NOT specifically for "only good comments" regarding that contestant. They are for discussion of that contestant, both good and bad. We are not a fan-site for any one contestant, or any one show.

If I remember correctly, Tessa was recruited for Andy's season. If TPTB stack the deck with some Bachelorettes that fit the Bachelor's type, then there should be a much better chance of it actually working out.

Seems like its always the women who are willing to relocate. A fair representation of real life. It doesn't sound very fairytale'ish if the man relocates, crashes in the woman's home while looking for a job.
