OK, what same wedding show? There was no wedding on the Bachelorette or the Bachelor aside from Trista's.

I particularly enjoy opening night, seeing if I can spot 'the winner' -- and without having any prior knowledge (from having read the boards), on my own I've done pretty good -- Then I discovered the boards & read on here, and JU that the winner was already determined, and I now feel deflated. So opening night I watched to see this 'paragon of virtue' that everyone seems to be hot & bothered about -- Melissa -- and good grief!! She's a DeAnna clone -- right from her biography to her physical appearance. One difference - DeAnna speaks in a normal voice, Melissa shrieks!! I expected her, at the rose ceremony, to jump up and down hand pumping in the air 'pick me, pick me'. Gadzooks! I hope there's more to her than that!! (I'm sure that my opinions will alienate me from the general board population that is in love with her, but that's how she came across, to me)

I'll keep watching, but the thrill is gone. Won't even bother to guess who gets eliminated each week -- what does it matter anyways, if the conclusion is foregone? IMO, none of the ladies recruited by Fleiss to be on this show, are a good match for Jason -- and time will tell. Does Jason really get to break the batches of 3 -- ?? or is it really 3rd time the Charm like he hopes for?? For his sake, I hope he's right.

I loved reading your post! I also think Jason is a nice, decent, attractive, basically good guy at heart. I do remember the old saying about bad things coming in threes. We will just have to wait and see if it is true for him.

I love you quoting the lines from that old Supremes song. It takes me back to my youth. But there is a lot of truth in those words. That is what seems so wrong with the whole premise of this show - you can't force love, it just happens. It comes when it comes and you never know when that is and that's the true beauty of real love. Here it's like they are trying to play with fate and control destiny. It doesn't work and we've seen that for ourselves.

Please do not feel alone in your feelings about Melissa. For the life of me, I can't see anything about her that is even remotely special. I am trying to withhold judgment, since I only saw the very first episode. My first impression of her is that she seems to be incredibly superficial. I, too, hope that there is more than what appears on the surface, for Jason's sake. So I will alienate myself along with you. If she shows me something more, then I will have no trouble giving this young woman her due.

I also watch as a guilty pleasure. But I must confess that I have not watched the last few Bachelor seasons all the way through. I usually tune in for the first two or three episodes and then come back toward the end at F3 to see who is still there. I don't know if I will stick with it this time or follow my past m.o. I also don't know if I am up to watching the return of Deanna.

It is interesting that Melissa does resemble Deanna. I certainly hope that she is not like her emotionally. That would definitely spell doom for Jason.

I did not post last season, but I felt that once Graham took himself out of the show that the show was over. Anyone who was F1 would be fulfilling a role, and I could not see DeAnna, given her career aspirations, would choose being a step-mother. It did not matter to me who was F1 because I doubted it would last past the media ride.

I agree Blondie, but I didn't realize it until after the show was over. I was too busy concentrating on Jason being F1, I missed everything else grrrr
