Then, on the morning of the FRC, which is usually spent at the Bachelor villa, perhaps due to the lavish surroundings or a lack of sleep or both, his generalized sort of love will turn into a specific kind of love mostly because it has to due to lack of time. Deanna didn't know till the morning of either, but then she was absolutely sure. It's quite, er, amazing, really. I think the show is not about the Bachelor finding a wife at all. It's about how well the Bachelor is able to con the F2 so that she'd be shocked and hurt when she's not picked. Now, that's a talent!

| Re: B13 Thoughts and Comments so true, that is why I think Brad freaked out and backed out of the whole thing. In his case both ladies fell even though he didn't really give them that much to go on. I think the whole hot millionaire thing worked in his favor. My gut feeling is though Jenni was not in love, she was still hoping to reunite with her ex the whole time. But she played her part well |

I stopped watching half way during Matt's season as I felt it was a total set-up. I didn't watch D's show as I thought she was just an ugly personality on Brad's season, but I did read the boards. But I liked Jason from the previews of the new show and decided to watch. I saw Melissa on DCC: Making the Team and liked her then. She was sweet and spunky, basically an exact opposite of DeAnna. She may resemble her in coloring but this woman is by far more beautiful. I did not read the boards until after the first show so had no idea she was in the running but was rooting for her the first night just by her personality alone on the DCC show. It's good to be back on the boards. I love chatting with you all.

I did not post last season, but I felt that once Graham took himself out of the show that the show was over. Anyone who was F1 would be fulfilling a role, and I could not see DeAnna, given her career aspirations, would choose being a step-mother. It did not matter to me who was F1 because I doubted it would last past the media ride.

Totally the way I felt too, BlondieGal. Once Graham left, the show was over.

I am one who thinks Jesse/Deanna thought they had a chance of being a real couple, as did Andy/Tessa, and legions before them, as of the wrap party. Of course, observers could see it would never work. As someone once noted brilliantly (wasn't it you, Bloomers) -- the edit usually reveals the reasons a couple won't last, but most are so busy watching some love story unfold, they miss or dismiss the clues. Tessa's reluctance to commit to the Andy Show. Deanna's incompatibility with the life of a snowboarder. After all, the producers have spent six weeks of often 14hr+ days with the Bachelor, and watched all those interactions, and had all those personal (if manipulative) chats with the characters. They can see what the tensions are that will cause a break-up once the Highs's of filming and airing and post show publicity dissipate. And the show is seeded with that information as well. Jason/Melissa will have those issues. The format (that is, the circumstances under which they became a couple) demands it. They might overcome it. But with history as a guide, that seems unlikely.

The funny thing is that her personality seems like it's going to be more of a Jenni (guess that makes sense if she's a cheerleader!), but her comment about the wedding dress reminded me of Lisa from PLo. Now, knowing what I know, I guess they left the wedding dress comment in as foreshadowing to the ending... Quote:

If she were supposed to have been in love with anybody else, whether it was Jason or Jesse, would she have been pleased with the way that her total breakdown with Graham was shown when he left? She visually and verbally gave it all away herself. The edit in this case was merely a reflection of the events that happened.Although I thought from an editing standpoint that they were going to try to show us how she had been been building another relationship simultaneously that we would see take front and center ( none did that was obviously that convincing if you read the boards), I actually thought it was an unrealistic belief based on what I had seen and heard of her actual interactions with Graham. Also, if you will remember a couple of times, Jason commented ( with concern) on her relationship with Graham - although never with Jesse. That too is interesting that he saw it with Graham but not Jesse, both personally and from an editing standpoint.
