Bachelorette news ~

Kendra_K and I found out some scoop regarding the next Bachelorette show ~ at this time filming is supposed to begin on March 16th. Still no idea who the next Bachelorette will be yet.

In scouting for men, they were looking for men age 25 to 33 years old and must all be US citizens. Also, those selected had to agree to go to LA for two weeks in February.

I think this is very possible.

Great news Blondie! Thank you for the info. So it sounds like timing will be similar to that of DeAnna's season. May start, July wrap for airing. Perfect summer cheese.

Re: B13 Thoughts and Comments

I tried to provide a link but can't:

Here's the excerpt. If you want to know where it's from, google will be happy to help:

"Fleiss didn't provide any additional details about what could make the season's ending so shocking and dramatic given the season's promos have already shown Mesnick proposing at the conclusion of last fall's taping of his The Bachelor edition and both ABC and Mesnick have repeatedly stated that he proposed and got engaged (and not to DeAnna Pappas, apparently). But he did suggest that Mesnick is still currently engaged to someone. "

Re: B13 Thoughts and Comments

I don't think Fleiss used the word engaged on Feb. 12 -- at least not in a news article. (I don't know about the internet) Here are some of his quotes:

Hotbox The Toronto Star February 13, 2009 Friday,

Quote:
The events in the show's three-hour conclusion are dramatic enough to warrant an additional hour, creator Mike Fleiss said. "It's going to be shocking. The end of this series is the best we've every had," said Fleiss.
ABC extends Bachelor party; Special set for day after 3-hour finale Edmonton Journal (Alberta) February 13, 2009 Friday,

Quote:
And given Mesnick's popularity, Fleiss didn't rule out the possibility of viewers seeing him again. "Maybe we'll do a wedding special," Fleiss said. "The couple seems pretty happy."
Backing up to Jan. 5 when the season started:

On TV, the war of the roses This time, `Bachelor' thinks of family, too Fort Wayne Journal Gazette January 5, 2009 Monday,

Quote:
So far, ABC's dating reality show franchise "The Bachelor" has produced no weddings. Not one. "Hmm," executive producer Mike Fleiss says. "I'll have to get back to you on that. We've been close. We have some couples that are still very much in love. But Ryan and Trista (from `The Bachelorette') is the only one.

"Although I think this new one had a good chance of ending up married."
This is the same article he talked about the crew:

Quote:
"When it became clear who he was going to pick," Fleiss says, "and then you'd see Jason and the girl and Tyler together, even the crew responded to it. The guys who have seen 170 rose ceremonies - even they were rooting for it.
Same article, a quote from Jason:

Quote:
"I cannot fall in love with anybody unless they fall in love with my son."

Re: B13 Thoughts and Comments

About Molly's "walk of shame," etc. --- I believe the time they had in the tent was theirs alone, and they probably used it to get to know each other, and in Jason's case, see if he wanted to keep her. Remember, this was early in filming.

All of the rest - the clothes, Molly's comments to the girls: I believe she was coached to say the things she did and wear what she did. Stirring up drama in the house and such. . .

Why would the men have to be US Citizens?
