OK I won't say it...at least that's why she's supposed to be be there, but I think we all know the real reason. Win-win. Fleiss gets us riled up for ratings & she gets to extend her 15 mins a little more.

Do not forget that DeAnna is under contract to ABC for at least a year. They and Fleiss (the man himself) have the power to refuse the necessary permission that she has to have in order to accept gigs.
It was brought to my attention by a source who has been known to be reliable in the past that Fleiss has most likely already denied her one opportunity? Why? Who knows? Maybe just because he wanted to do or maybe to get back at her for her behavior in any/all things connected to Bachelorette 4. The exact reasoning may be in question, but whether or not it happened is in less doubt.

It's my opinion that whether or not she wanted to appear, whether or not it was a free vacation to a beautiful spot , she was nevertheless over a barrel and really had no choice but to do as she was told.

It's my opinion that it is so to speak "a tempest in a teapot" - a dramatic ploy used to cause a reaction in us, draw in outraged viewers, and increase ratings. She will give Jason "good" advice, he will pick whoever he was going to pick anyway, and that will be that.

I'm eager to get the show started so to speak. Y'all have all once again blown me away with your expert sleuthing. I must say from looking at the screencaps, these girls are engulfing him with lots of kisses! I mean, I know he has to be a participant as well but from the screencaps, the ladies look to be the more eager ones...

Who do you guys think reads Jason a poem about love at first sight? I'm guessing Naomi, due to that site I saw a poem written by her (you can read it in her thread).

Plus, I guess someone does get drunk on the show...ouch! Wonder if that is Megan?

Shayne/Matt and DeAnna/Jesse made it for a while, but in terms of what the majority of board viewers accepted as a genuinely in love and successful couple, Fleiss has not had one since Andy and Tessa.

I believe he feels like he has an excellent shot at it again with Jason and Melissa. As indicated by the lack of preview mention and screencaps of Melissa, it may not have been Fleiss's original intention to reveal this couple at all; however, when the cat was out of the bag, so to speak, with the very strong rumor ( that would not stop!), Fleiss may have decided to just go with the flow instead and work the love story instead to the favor of the franchise.

I hate to ask dumb questions, I'm just not following the evidence. Why exactly does everyone think Melissa is the F1? How is the evidence this year any different than the evidence from last season. If all we have is some rumors and a pinky ring, it doesn't really confirm anything. Does it?

I agree. I didn't know she had tried to show herself earlier. I also think this is a little bit of PR for her new gig at Lifetime.

I agree! Being a long time lurker and just joining the boards last season, I was surprised at some of the loyalty to favorites, rather than just pure sleuthing to find the F1. On another board, there weren't even factions - you either accepted the favorite or didn't post. I have really enjoyed this board, and the long timers who focus on the evidence! I think I am going to really like the presumed F1 this season - she looks very sweet -and from Texas too! (If it ends up not being Melissa, maybe she and Jeremy could get together!!! )
