The only break we have heard at all from Jillian possibly is, "I don't want to be the flavor of the month," which indicates that she is aware that the group roses can indicate fleeting attention.

We have heard nothing but confidence from Molly so far.

ITA with you, Bloomers. We have also seen a very great deal of confidence from Jilly. She has initiated most of the encounters we have seen with her and Jason. She definitely takes the lead; Jason has mentioned it.

He does seem to enjoy the attention and seems flattered by these take-charge women. Nothing wrong with that. Most men like to "feel" that they are in charge, though. Maybe this is one of the many things he finds so appealing with Melissa.

I think this is important again to balance all of the many plusses that she has going for her, and I think it is becoming part of her storyline. As well as is she settled enough for him, can he overcome her insecurities?(Sounds a bit like Tessa and the reluctance/hesitation bit)

I agree with the bolded, and it's that sense of her that makes me feel.. I don't know, just "off" about the whole thing working. Like a parent/child thing going on, as opposed to partners. It is one of the things that make her seem so young to me. This doesn't negate her positives, but it illustrates one of the issues I'm having @ seeing her as still needing some personal growth...

Lots of us have been there, it's not a "fault" in my view - just makes me wonder if it will last.

Anybody know why Melissa's thread is locked?

I am wondering when Molly's over night date is? Before or after the GH date? If GH was after,I can totally understand why Melissa was upset.

Different thought - anybody know anything about Melissa's family? Brothers? Sisters? etc.

I am guessing the thread is locked because there was so much debate about her breast reduction news but it seemed everyone was being fairly decent.

The hesitancy/reluctance only made Andy dig his heels in harder to win Tessa. It seemed to bring out the woo-er/pursuer in him. Whereas, he sweltered with Bevin, he had to work for everything with Tessa.

Now I don't know if this is going to work with Jason, but it may be that her insecurities are going to bring out a protective streak in Jason - a need to help her and to fix her problems for her.

I don't see that as "young" since people, especially women, of all ages have tremendous insecurity issues. They are related to our life's experiences.
She has so many plusses and advantages, but obviously somewhere in life something has happened to make her feel less than assurred about things that we would think she should take in stride.
Will we hear what happened?
We already heard one big surprise!

BTW, if everyone waited until they had outgrown their insecurities before they married, few would get married, I suspect.

I am seeing this slightly insecure side of Melissa also - but I think Jason seems to like (or need) that. He was seen listening in a very concerned manner with Deanna when she was telling about her mother's death. He has been shown being a very nurturing father to Ty. I think Jason cares about people - and wants to help them in whatever way. He seems over come when he is with a take charge kind of person. Melissa is honest and up front about it - also upbeat - she doesn't get dragged down like Shannon or Nikki. I think she will overcome this with maturity - but I don't see it as a show stopper for Jason - nor do I see it as a flaw for Melissa. While seeing more and more of last night's episode, I was thinking - everyone's hormones seem to be showing up at the same time - everyone in tears or bitchy. It's got to be hard for everyone to be in a situation like this - and I was impressed with Melissa genuinely seeming happy when the group date rose was given to Jillian. Jason is in a real predicament trying to balance everyone's feelings, not lead them on too much but just enough to have them want to stay. With Jillian, I don't see much interest on her part beyond friendship. I suspect (jmo) that she is staying on for the story and not for Jason. For the others - how do they know what Jason is thinking - can they really sit back and look at this the way we are seeing it. Stephanie's kissing him multiple times - telling him to close his eyes ?? Can she sit back and say - wouldn't he want to kiss me if he was falling for me ?? I'm sure a good part of Melissa is wondering even though her times with Jason are wonderful - how does she know he is not connecting the same way with some one else. Great times for tension, tension, tension !

And about the story - if we were just shown continued and growing romance between Melissa and Jason, then we would be bored too - and the other girls would be long gone - and there would be no story ... There has to be a mystery presented to us - and because there is a mystery, then there has to be friction. When the friction isn't dramatic enough - maybe because of the participants - then Fleiss et al have to help out ... I would think some of these girls would be ruined for a while but that's just me !

I'm all for the friction and drama - it certainly has it's place on this type of show, but by episode 3 there should be a clearer direction. The only constant I've seen since Night 1 has been with Jilly. Last night was all about Stephanie. We're soon gonna get Deanna drama - oh boy, can't wait

I've said pretty much that right from the beginning. I think Jason feels "needed" with Melissa, whereas Jillian is her own, strong person. I think after Deanna and a wife that ended the marriage - Jason needs to wear the pants, so to speak

I am starting to like Melissa more. I actually do like the bit of insecurity. I just hope it's real. I did not initially have a sense of her at all. But I am seeing why Jason would be attracted to her. He does seem to like being a bit protective of a woman. I think her personality is kind of infectious and she seems pretty down to earth.

I don't feel it for Molly at all. I am not sure why. I just see her as quite superficial. I have to believe that there is more to her than what we have been allowed to see so far. If the general consensus is that Molly, Jillian and Melissa are the final three, then I hope to learn more about Molly. She seems pretty cheerful and fun and definitely has no problem going after a man, but I just don't feel any kind of real connection with her.

I am liking Stephanie more now. Initially I didn't know if she was for real and had trouble getting past her appearance. But I see her as a classy lady with a lot to offer the right guy. I am becoming really concerned that she will be hurt the way Jason was last time. She seems to enthralled with the possibility of finding love again and completing her family. I just don't want to see her go through any more pain. She has been through enough.

The one thing that I am most curious about, is how Jason's image will hold up through this process. He has been so incredibly popular, but this show has a way to really making you look bad as you reject people. It will be interesting to see how he handles letting go of the final few women before the end. Somone always ends up getting hurt, so I am wondering if Jason will survive this and come out with his popularity intact.
