We have been in discussion how Sharon would have to be a secure person in herself and in her career to leave her job to do the show.
I was thinking about that, and I remembered that on Melissa's thread a friend of hers made the remark that the plan ( to be a cheerleader) was always just to be two years ( with the insinuation that she would then move on to what she wanted to do in life). We know that she did not go back out for cheerleader again after the 2 years.
Jason also stated that his first wife did not know what her hobbies and interests in life were and that they spent a lot of their time together trying to figure that out ( for her).
For speculation, if Melissa is F1 did the two of them have this discussion which would result in his statement that "she knows who she is"?

Does it mean what Melissa is doing now is what she want to do in life? Is Melissa satified n the job she is doing and could she have remaned there another 6 or more years? If so then it i possible.

You can know who you are, have a plan for your life and your career and still be in the "getting there" phase Sometimes your plan for the future involves several steps in business. Doesn't mean you do not know who you are! Perhaps her first priority in life is to be a wife and Mother. Not a bad aspiration.

Does anyone know what Melissa's degree is in? I hope she has a job waiting for her in Seattle.

Good jobs are quite limited these days.

Wasn't there something about Melissa being in Wine Sales?
If so, Wine Sales Reps can make a good living (my best friend does) and in recessions, "vices" (smoking, gambling, spirit sales) don't take a downturn.

Here here!!!!..I have been "getting there" for years. I have always known what type of work I wanted to do; numbers, business taxes,ofiice management. I LOVE what I do...am I there yet..heck no!..

i think life always has many "steps" I am back in college finishing my accounting degree and working a Human Resource management degree in as well....I think that we are always working towards what we want...I also have 3 nearly grown children...married for 25 years..a full time Administrative position and I am 46...

I hope I never stop trying to "get there"...

Okay, generally when one is satisfied in their job, they are not looking for the next opportunity to jump for the next thrill. Take Deanna. She had a good job as an estate agent or something. Had her own place, but she really wanted to get into media. She said she wanted to settle down, got the opportunity with Jason but preferred the "free" living of Jesse. She still pursued a career in the media. So on one hand she got what she wants but that is not what Jason wants.

Jason said that though he was adventurous and all that, most of his living is being at home with Ty. So it is likely to be a woman who when she moves to Seatle just picks up a job in her field or like Trista can be a stay at home mom. Not one who is still trying to define herself to know her "niche". Could be any number of the contestants, we will find out.

how much time does Ty actually spend with Jason? Full custody? Is custody shared 50/50? or does Jason get Ty every other weekend? If it is the later, then being a stay-at-home mom doesn't make sense... (unless she has a child of her own)...

I don't believe that Jason is looking for a stay at home mom for Ty... I think he means someone willing to spend their time with Ty while they have a job. I don't think what job she has matters, just a willingness to be a family with Jason & Ty, which doesn't necessarily mean being a SAHM (until after they have kids of own). I can't see Jason wanting a homebody woman... He wants someone outgoing and who has a spark for life. Or so he's said.
