I find it funny how anyone can make a judgment call that Melissa isn't mature enough to handle a child, based on MAYBE twenty minutes of highly edited air time, in which she's connecting with a man, not a child.

And believe, her sense of humor will come in handy being a mom or stepmom. LOL

The same way you can make the assumption she is sweet, smart, mature, loveable, ready to be a mom, adventurous, humorous ..... perfect for Jason based on MAYBE twenty minutes of highly edited air time, in which she's supposedly connecting with a man, not a child.

I do know this I don't think any little girl says she wants to be a stepmom when she grows up. All of these ladies knew the possiblilty of having to become a stepmom. I believe her bubbly personality will come in handy...it is going to be a tough job for anyone.

Absolutely! I don't really think she resembles De all that much. As a matter of fact NOTHING about Melissa reminds me of De. I am impressed by what I have seen of Melissa so far.

My biggest problem with Melissa besides the fact that she is shown in EVERY reaction shot, and numerous PI's...(this seems to becoming the Melissa show very quickly)..is her overemoting and her overly exaggerated expressions. It just is too much for my liking, annoying as all get out, and comes across to me as phony, immature and acting. Perhaps it is from her cheerleading days when she was performing and dancing on the field, to the people in the stands. I would like to like Mel, but I just can't get there at this point. Hopefully that will change for me, or I will get used to her eventually, since she is going to be the star of the show. I simply wish Melissa would tone it all down a bit....she is not playing to the bleachers in the nosebleed section any more!!!

And regarding Mel being in every reaction shot...I think I saw only one shot of Jillian after her answering the women's questions about her date, (when Mel got up and left in a hurry)...and that shot was when Jillian walked away during Megan and Erica's drama...and that was it. As I said...this is clearly the Melissa show....I personally by far prefer Jillian. She is just natural and seems genuine...nothing phony about Jilly. Thanks

I will say this, there is a difference as to bubbly personality versus how someone carries herself....... I guess time might tell which one is which in her case. In any case, it is too bad that if she is the final 1, she isn't portrayed better in regards to that. It kind of makes you wonder what is up.

Well, heck she's used to a high stress job with low pay -- the DCC! LOL I've read (not sure of the accuracy) that it's not a life-managing pay they get for being on the DCC, so she's no stranger to working hard for very little monetary return.

I'm not making the assumption that she's all those things in real life. I don't know that she is. But I also don't know that she's not. I also liked Melissa quite a bit on the Making The Team show for DCC. She seemed bubbly and fun. She did make me laugh, so I can base a vote on humorous on that fact for myself. But still, there is no way I could know what she is or isn't ready for or what she's really like. So I'm not personally going to state "she's not or she IS this..." I don't know.

I also have no idea if she's perfect for Jason. I like their screen time together, they show great chemistry on screen, and for the purposes of this show, she's my pick for an entertaining season.
