same here - friends that don't do the message board/spoiler thing have her pegged as F1. The editing will have to change for her to show that they're either really good friends, or that there's something negative about her that could be a deal breaker.......the clues will be in Jason's PIs about her. But be careful to watch watch his mouth says and not what VOs say.

This season is already in the "can" for me. I wish I could muster up enough excitement to post like I used to (shout-out to cafegirl ), but this season is just Sleepy in Seattle, as far as I'm concerned. Big yawn.

I keep thinking about what a poster said a while back (not sure who said it though) Jason chose Melissa but would Melissa have chosen Jason if she was Bach'ette? I don't think she would have. On the other hand, I think Jillian would , as they really seem to have so much in common and I think could be friends and lovers in a marriage. Although I hope things work out for Jason and Melissa, I have a feeling that after awhile it's going to be too much for Melissa. Oh well, I hope if it does end, it will die a slow death and nobody will get hurt.

Ditto - I like it better when we have some doubt as to who F1 is, it's much more exciting.

I don't know what happened in this girl's life or relationship, but as attractive as she is and with as much as she has going for her, the fact that she hasn't date in 3 years since her break-up leads me to think that she is looking for a guy with certain qualities.
While Jason may not be Charlie ( from Trista's) season knock-down handsome, nevertheless, he is still a very nice-looking man with a good build. Moreover, he has shown some excellent character traits. He is kind, considerate, settled, and he has a steady job unlike Ian and Charlie who were both unemployed at the time they shot The Bachelor.

I think Jason is an awesome "catch" but I just get the feeling that Melissa isn't ready for being a mom and wife and all that comes with it, not yet anyway. I'm in no way saying critical about her, I think she's fabulous - just not really seeing the compatibleness (sp?) there at this point. Is she being sincere about being a teacher and spending time with her kids?? not sure if she honestly feels like that or if she thought that's what she is that what she thinks Jason wants to hear. I'm hoping she's sincere about it, (not that I think she's lying but is she just getting caught up in the show )

She said she wanted to get her teaching certificate which is different from a degree. She already has a degree. She will have to go back and pick up some ed courses to get certified. She said it so quickly that I think it might very well have been on her mind. She has been out of school for a while in her fulltime job long enough to know whether that is what she wants to do for the rest of her life. People do make career changes; however, I have to laugh because it is usually the other way around. Many first year teachers leave the field and go into something else - stressful and low pay.

My wife (she was 31 when we married) dated very little in her 20's because, in her words, she had decided that she would prefer to be single than "settle" for less than what she wanted in a marriage. I'm not sure why she saw in me what she did, but we've been married for 26 years so I guess I was close enough for her.

Point is that not every girl in her 20s, regardless of how attractive they may be, is looking for a man on her arm at all costs. Some are only looking for the right man. Melissa filled her time with a job that takes just about all of your time. We can speculate on her motives and apply any views we choose based on limited evidence. Based on that same limited evidence it's equally possible to speculate that she's the real deal.
