I just finished watching Bonnie Hunt. I agree with you. Bonnie was very slick with saying that she thinks he picks Nikki, then after he finishes saying what an amazing person she is she springs Melissa on him. I think he was taken off guard because he was speechless for a second. That was the most telling interview I've seen to date.

It is somewhat curious to me (in a so far bland season, in my opinion, so I haven't been curious about a lot) that in all of his interviews he's getting grilled to the Nth degree about Melissa being the obvious F1. With just the first episode having been aired, what is fueling this speculation? ABC? The message boards? What? I don't think Melissa has yet had a chance to "light up the room." So far, the most obvious indication of her status in the Bachelor harem is that of the editing that cuts to her during the women's discussion of whom to eliminate. I've seen so many pictures of her pinky finger that I'm sticking my own finger down my throat and apparently it's pretty obvious to everyone that it's she (subject case, Jason, subject case, not object case ) and her much-analyzed hands in the proposal. But I still find the interviewers' persistence about the F1 coming on stronger and earlier than in previous seasons.

I've only seen 2 interviews, Jimmy Kimmel and Ellen - neither one of them talked about Melissa at all. And in both interviews he didn't say anything at all that was revealing and his body language was pretty neutral too.

But I loved the "Jason" shorts he gave to Ellen!!! And showed everyone he was wearing the Ellen ones.

I thought this interviewer was particularly insistent about Melissa. From what I've read of the Bonnie Hunt interview that was the case as well.

Bonnie Hunt's segment with him was fairly long and she did mention Melissa being the F1 several times to throw him off.

Maybe the Bonnie Hunt interview will be online soon, so y'all can give your take on it. I think Bonnie caught him off guard with the Melissa comment. First she said that she thought he picked Nikki..after he finished talking about how Nikki was such a great girl, blah, blah, blah, she then said that she had changed her mind & decided he picked Melissa. He stammered a little, then said something about her forgetting about the other 13 girls there.
