TV Guide has their episode description posted for Ep. 3

I think Natalie goes home from Vegas when she does not get a rose and that the drama is Shannon running out at the "dishy" rose ceremony.

jlccaz great job on the keep a breast date! Maybe that cap of Melissa and Erica doing something to Jason's bare chest (naughty naughty) is actually from this date.

That's what I'm thinking too. So Erica doesn't get cut next week.

TV Ratings for The Bachelor 13

Premiere Episode
8.74 million viewers and 3.1/8 in adults 18-49.

Comparison to The Bachelor 12 (Matt) Premiere:
8.96 million viewers and 3.3/9 in adults 18-49.

Comparison to The Bachelor 11 (Brad) Premiere:
9.57 million viewers and 3.5/9 in adults 18-49.

Comparison to The Bachelor 10 (Andy) Premiere:
10.11 million viewers and 3.9/10 in adults 18-49.

Comparison to The Bachelor 9 (Lorenzo) Premiere:
8.95 million viewers and 3.5/9 in adults 18-49.

Chief competition was the Fiesta Bowl college football game. It almost doubled The Bachelor's ratings. The Superstars of Dance also premiered strong. The premiere ratings are calculated from half-hour ratings as the overnights still are not available.

Comparing to previous season premieres, this season is down, but only slightly. The Bachelor was strong enough to give ABC #2 on the night.

The Bachelor started slow, just over 8 million viewers, but gained as the show went on, reaching a peak of over 9.4 million viewers. True Beauty, the show following, dropped by about 2 million viewers over the next hour, but that was enough to beat Momma's Boys. The slow start has given a low overall rating. This may be because of the new 8 p.m. start time. Next week will be telling.

Actually, considering somebody had 5 or 6 million viewers at one time, I think we are doing pretty good!

Thanks for posting this. I was curious about the ratings. I for one don't like the 8 PM start. Anyone with young children will have to tape it, and the mature content seems more apprpriate for 9 PM.

You have to take into account that the Bachelor's major competition was a College Football Game. If not for that...I am thinking the numbers would of been much higher. If you look if the key demo group 18-49...early numbers have it in second place which is great overall....I think the numbers will steadily improve over the season. Also promotion for the show started later than in past seasons......

I'm dissapointed in the ratings. That dumb dance show beat it? Ugh.

I don't know if you guys have seen this yet, but on the TVGuide website, Jason is the featured video for today. It's in the right hand corner, click on where it says "Jason talks about finding love"

I just watched the TV guide interview. I thought Jason's body language was very interesting when he spoke about the concert date. He got a little squirmy and began shaking his leg. He also used the the word "we". We were lucky enough to get a private concert. If it's Jillian on the date????? When he speaks about the Goodyear blimp date he's calm and he says "I". That's Melissa right? Does anyone else see what I am talking about?
