Maybe trauma is the wrong descriptive word - but for lack of another one - trauma in ones younger years can certainly affect your older years (not saying she is old - but she is a grown woman) - and that old saying about that which hurts us - makes us grow stronger - may be what she has done - yes - she is very strong and confident gal - but she also carries some pain within her - that may affect how she is now/today and is a part of her that may make her want to appear to be very happy on the outside - and we have seen that - she has held herself together pretty well - up to this point.

This is not a bad thing - but for her - for this show - it may be what holds her back and not allow her to open up to Jason as he needs her to do - she seems to be trying to do so - which he needs confirmation of in order to keep her.

I feel the same way. Jillian has a great relationship with her parents and family. The family receives Jason with open arms and her dad is really happy about the experience.

Re: Jillian **Spoilers**

I could also be that she is a little reserved and could be a Canadian and or British thing. We are more like the Brits than Americans.
I don't know if it is that, just suggesting.

Plus lets remember that Melissa is very at home in front of the cameras and so she should be. She has been the one to show her emotions the most and I think her experience helps, it certainly isn't hurting her.

Molly hasn't shown as much in front of the cameras but then she also had an overnight date with Jason and lots of things that we didn't see.

So of the 3 yes Jillian hasn't shown as much. She also got the first 1 on 1 date where you can't be as playful either as on a beach. Maybe being at home will make her feel more comfortable.

I feel Jillian is a very strong person. She admitted so the way she takes care of everyone else in the house. I dont see her chasing Jason...I see Jason as the one chasing or the aggressive one. We pretty much know she is
f3..so this may be why she is f3, IMO. I hope she meets a really wonderful man someday. She is a strong wonderful lady.

Angelic I also believe the reason she takes care of everyone in the house is because of her mothers illness and the fact that is what she has always done....having a sick parent makes you do things different. It for the most part will make you more nurturing and that is what I see in her. I would also say it has made her see people and situations in a different light.

Perhaps Jillian has had the type of life experience that Jason has been talking about in interviews that he needed his F1 to have experienced. It certainly seems like thus far, what sounds like Jillian perhaps endured in her childhood, supersedes Mel's 7 year relationship, and I don't think Molly has spoken of any type of life experience like this. I don't know...perhaps Mel and Molly have experienced more than we are hearing about which would equate to what Jay said he needed in his F1 from his interviews posting taping. Just tossing that out there, as Jillian once again seems to have everything that Jay has stated repeatedly he needed, (and these are not verbatim )....someone able to light up a room, someone that everyone gravitates towards, someone adventuresome and fun, someone with a love for children (her stated desire to meet Ty would equate to this), someone who has a spark of life/light, someone who knows who they are and what they want, someone who has some sort of life experience.......Jilly fits the bill on them all. Too bad she is gone at F3....Jay missed out on a true gem, and Jillian remains my favourite Bachelorette ever, in any season. Thanks
Karey

You are not alone in this at all. There has only been one F2 that I have liked. The rest of the time I have loved the F3 and couldn't care about the F2 or F1 no matter how hard I tried. Seems like TPTB would wise up eventually and realize that the F3 is really the fan favorite and try to edit the F2 and F1 more along the same lines.

Re: Jillian **Spoilers**

If she confides in Jason and explains that the reason she always feels like she needs to be the strong one for everyone else is because she had to be for her Mom when she was growing up that would probably make him feel more comfortable and understand why she holds back with him as well. Unfortunatly I think it would also explain why he may send her home as F3, knowing what she has faced and not wanting to put her through the pain and embarassement of possibly ending up F2.

Which is why I think Meredith had a lot more guts that Deanna did or than Jason might have. Ian was portrayed as a total commitment-phobe and yet she chose him as F1. Sure, it didn't work out in the end but at least they were together for awhile and they tried. Deanna didn't take the chance with Graham because she needed someone to be all over her immediately. I think Jason is the same way. He'll probably choose the girl who falls for him immediately. Makes him feel more manly maybe, and as we said before he doesn't seem to want to do the chasing.
