I posted this on another thread, but I think that it may imo provide a different explanation for why we have the Shayne Show:

I think the problem this Season is that Chelsea and Amanda didn't open up enough to the cameras to provide the needed suspense. Amanda was given opportunity to shine and she didn't. Chelsea was also given the opportunity to shine, and she didn't either; but Matt still had to take one of the women to F2. Since Matt and Chelsea showed more connection than Matt and Amanda, he chose to take Chelsea as F2. IMO, it became the Shayne Show because the other serious contenders didn't step up to the plate.

When the wedding occurs, I want Shayne to incorporate leopard print into her gown in honor of her mother, who seems really sweet. It can be done. They did that on Project Runway a few seasons ago -- a wedding gown challenge in which one of the "brides" wanted something very different, so they did leopard print and a beautiful vibrant blue. I don't see Shayne getting married* in anything quite that wild, but the leopard print can be done.

*And I want her to marry someone other than Matt, because she can do much, much better than him. As can be said about just about every girl on this season's show.

Now that I know that Amanda and Noelle are fine with the outcome, I am too. Neither of the F2 appeals to me, so I just don't care who is chosen. I don't care if Shayne was a plant or not, if she truly loves Matt or not. This season ended for me last Monday night. If I have to question the motives of the F2, instead of rooting for them, I know something is wrong. I actually feel bad for Chelsea, going along with such a tasteless act, even if they assured her that it wouldn't be shown. I can't picture either Noelle or Amanda going along with such a thing, which goes a long way in explaining why they weren't Matt's type.
I wonder about these rumors, though....especially Matt supposedly calling the girl from TMZ.

Hallelujah can I get an AMEN, I truly believe neither Amanda/Chelsea was that invested in Matt IMO, and I tend to believe it was that way for Matt also, I think we are being shown just what it was, Shayne from the winery date....

I agree. I don't think the editing had any other choice but to feature Shayne. Amanda and Chelsea just didn't feel comfortable in front of the cameras and basically were difficult to watch at times. It's not entertaining watching someone who is nervous. Noelle was more comfortable in front of the cameras but she was very quiet and held back also. I do believe this is why we got so much of Shayne and girls like Robin, Marshanna etc. who gave the cameras something to work with.

If I remember correctly in previous seasons when rumors started flying it wasn't long before some of them became fact.

I ready today on the Jokers forum that someone (presumably Chelsea) was selling their dress from the first RC on ebay. (Go to Jokers & its a thread posted 4/5/08 at 8:10 AM called "Chelsea's dress from First RC was put up for auction at ebay"). Unfortunately the ebay listing no longer exists. (Note: this dress selling topic has already been covered on this site).

BUT I did read that the Ebay user name is "Crstrath" (read: Chelsea Wanstrath). Which I then (of course!) Googled and came up with, interestingly enough, 2 Craigslist ads from the SANTA BARBARA area (where Chelsea is said to live)... posted 4/28/08. If you perform the same Google search you will find the 2 ads.

When I cross-referenced the radio interview with Matt (on Youtube, best way to find is a Youtube search for "Matt Grant"), where he said he and the chosen one were in the Caribbean ... date posted... 4/28!!!

Certainly does not prove anything, but seems like one heck of a coincidence. Last time I checked Santa Barbara & the Caribbean were quite far apart.

It does seem really odd that Chelsea would sell something like that on Craigslist... I mean, can you imagine someone goes to buy that stuff, and its her? How totally weird would that be!

Curious to hear what others think!! And if I have all the dates and stuff right?

If she has reason to place ads on craigslist, why should this Board harass her by posting info that will only stimulate unwanted messages. In any event, that radio info was posted at YouTube, which is not the same as taped Monday, right? Wasn't he in LA following the Sat WTA taping?

But, in the process, we had to have Chelsea do a 180, embarrassing herself, according to a friend, to make it believable and for her to make it to the F2. That's sad and a setback to women every where. And it was done simply to hide this "true love" affair going on between Matt and Shayne. Pathetic!
