It is very obvious to me that all 3 of them made some big mistakes that they will have to live with and from which to learn. So did I, and most likely the rest of you who are over the age of 35-40 made some youthful mistakes that would fall into this category of living and learning as well. Sometimes the biggest growth in knowlege and maturity comes from the hardest experiences in life. If they don't learn from those mistakes and continue to make the same kinds of mistakes based on character and personality traits, weaknesses and faults, they will be destined to suffer the consequences and pay in some measure of misery over and over again until they do.

I could list their mistakes in clarity that most likely couldn't be refuted, but then I would probably need to list my own - as well - to be honest. How many of us would like a clear window into our hearts and past lives? We can give that old saw about the fact that they went on a reality show and therefore they subjected themselves to this inspection, yada, yada....but the basic question still remains for each one of us.

Atleast Shaynes motives were like most of the working world. To make money. And honestly, depending on the money they paid her, I really doubt alot of us would not have posed like Shayne did. The main problem I have with it is because its GGW. If it was on Vanity Fair or even Playboy, it would not seem as shocking as it is. But it does not effect how I think of Shayne. I think she is smart, savy, genuine, warm, caring.....and soooooo much more real and classy than Chelsea.

Point well taken...I truly can't see bottoms on her in the picture which alludes viewers to the fact that she is just wearing a veil. But, I can't prove that Shayne was nude any more than it can be proved that Chelsea had sex with Matt.

And for the record, no....I wouldn't pose like that no matter how much money I was paid. Knowing what she is going through now--I wonder if she thinks that it was worth it.

I think it may depend on the young person you are asking. Yes, Marilyn Monroe was definately an icon. Was it because she was a great actress, I think not.

Could it have had more to do with her tragic death..men, she was supposely involved with? Which included the then president of the United States and his brother the Attorney General. No question, she was beautiful..but I do not see her as a great actress..I don't think she would even qualifiy as a good actress, more of a sex goddess of that era.

I'm fully expecting Shayne to be nominated for sainthood soon. Shayne is an impulsive girl who does impulsive things for attention. I don't think she regrets it for a moment. Living in obscurity is defo not on her agenda.

Marilyn Monroe was the Anna Nicole Smith of her time, famous for nothing but their body.. Shayne Dahl Lamas is another one that seems to be heading in that direction.. Another Paris Hilton, Anna Nicole Smith wana be.. They all have no real acting skills, but will do anything including using their bodies and looks to get a head, what ever it takes to be known..

Also, the way she's now throwing her grandmothers last name into her name, just proves to me that she knows she can't make it on her acting ability alone, she's just trying to make it by using family names and her looks..

I drove through Hollywood last week and I think I saw her Shrine already going up..

You're probably right. However you either know the definition or your don't. It isn't up to interpretation and it is not subjective like calling balls and strikes.
It's not unlike Matt, when he said Shayne was a great lover or good or whatever. My dictionary has lover as "having a sexual or romantic relationship with some one often outside of marriage". Perhaps Matt has a better command of the English language than we Americans and in this context meant a great lover in a romantic relationship. I am not quite so quick to jump to a conclusion especially in this instance where he isn't familiar with our expressions nor ours with his.
