Boy do I feel slow.... I just noticed this.

What do you all make of Shayne's middle and last names? Dahl Lamas vs. Dalai Lama? Has she ever mentioned how she was named? Is Dahl her mother's maiden name, and this was all a coincidence?

Dahl is her grandmother's last name. She was famous in the 40's and 50's. Her name was Arlene Dahl.

Her grandmother was the actress Arleen Dahl. Yes, I agree that it does come out of my mouth as Dalai Lama!

I haven't did a seach yet, but if she's 20 and Shayne's 22 - maybe it's Shayne who was the bad influence, not the other way around. Wasn't Shayne hanging with that crowd 2 years ago when she did the other reality show? wasn't she at a porn party? probably all the same kind of people, you know, birds of a feather.......

The fact that Matt made the choice that he did shows an enormous lack of maturity on his part. I am not saying that any of the other women would have been more suitable. What adolescent boy wouldn't choose a Shayne-type girlfriend if if it were a sure thing?["Too good to be true"] It is like having someone walk right off the pages of a girlie mag. Their dates involved driving the cool car and the best toys and the " lovely little villa". The environment was very conducive to setting a positive mind set. Shayne was such a stark contrast to the other remaining women. Intimacy issues were not an issue for her because as an actress she is accustomed to that sort of activity with men she hardly knows. No big deal...all in a days work.

So little is known about Matt, his family, his life prior to TB. I feel that I have no idea who this guy is and I think he is someone who is in a state of flux. He is now trying on this lifestyle which appears to be 180 degrees from where he was a year ago. I look at it as if he is having an adventure, sowing some wild oats before he really settles down.

I doubt that he ever thought that he would be so quickly upstaged by his fiance. We saw how it was the Shayne Show from the start, but I doubt he had a clue as to how the spotlight would be hers once the finale aired. It's too bad that she doesn't let him finish his sentences because he really is quite witty. What she really needs is a beau like Halle Berry's baby-daddy who is gorgeous but has never spoken a word publicly.....doesn't have too when you look that!

Do I think that Matt and Shayme will defy the odds of 100% failure of TB outcomes....anything is possible and they could soul-mates, or more likely souless-mates.

Honestly.....sometimes I question just what does he really want??? He tells Amanda things that led her to believe an assumption & in her exit interview she alludes to his statement saying something like to her if we only had 2 more weeks. Then you have the things he was telling Chelsea....& things she mentions about what he said about Shayne. I mean come on.....this sounds wishwashy?!

I really hope I don't offend anyone if I asked this question and it is not really any of my business but I've been curious as to how a 22 year old high school dropout got the money to buy her mother a house and have it paid off especially considering she hasn't been in the movie business that long and that she's a B-list actress, I bet her movies so far haven't paid that well and her agent and good ole Uncle Sam most likely gets a huge chunk of her earnings .. Did she inherit a trust fund or something from her grandfather? Or did she go to a GED program and got her diploma that way and then had a job?
