I think the biggest difference in what shayne did and what chelsea did was the context---SHayne was getting spray tanned--you can't get spray tanned fully clothed--I'm guessing she had on a bikini bottom--a small one--it would be odd for her to get tanned fully clothed--a bikini would be best. There was no sexual connotation to getting tanned, and people get people to spray tan them all the time--some do so nude, others with a bikini on--I highly doubt shayne had no bottoms on--especially since she had on a bikini top. And there's nothing wrong with getting spray tanned--nothing for her parents to not be proud of--when you go to a salon to get tanned you have to remove clothing and as i said above some do so nude, others with a bikini on--and it looks to me like shayne did so with a bikini on. The black line they put up on the screen was likely because she had on a small bikini bottom and didn't want it shown on tv.

With Chelsea--the stripping scene had a sexual connotation--the editing of it made it appear as though she was removing her underwear, underneath a sheer neglige and heading back to matt to show him, and what would ensue you leave up to the imagination---we have since learned that she changed out of those white undies to put on black ones because the garment was sheer---I guess some find it not so classy because of the sexual connotation it holds. hope that answers your question as to why some view chelsea's as not so classy.

Excellent question. Why propose at all? Why suddenly start promoting it midseason? In Aaron's case, he already had a broken engagement, so the "What the heck?" attitude was evident in his "pre-meet and greet" interview with CH. Matt said he has never been married or engaged before. I would think he would take it much more seriously, especially since he was questioning their common interests and future compatibility as late as the FD. I guess Shayne's reassurance of "I'm intellectual. Is that I you say that word?" did the trick.

Hey just my opinion - but I think she looked smokin'! (And yes I'm a married gal...lol) I saw absolutely nothing wrong with it. I didn't think it was cheesy, sleazy, or easy... she is "all growed up" after all. As far as the editing of the panty scene, that left alot to be desired, but I don't blame Chelsea for the way that "came off".

Okay...last thoughts on this season of the Bach (we are so OVER this Bach season anyway)....

I think there have been many "TALE TELL SIGNS"..that this "sham"-ble of a relationship is "not what it seems"....Although the F1 was pre-determined from the onset...I think that Matt did find love along the way, however he is being forced to "love" Shanye. This will not last outside of the 30 secs. of fame they will get on the usual "Bach stops" media tour. If you need more proof consider this.......

DeAnna's season is already getting more media attention, and "air-time" than the Bach's "Big Finale"..(Most dramatic, romantic. blah blah blah)...Normally the Bach finale is played up to the UMPTH degree, but obviously Fleiss & Co have already seen the writing on the wall with Matt and have already moved on to the Bachette's season...DeAnna's season will air 2 hour episodes, unlike Matt's 1 hour shows (oops..meant Shayne's 45 min shows!)....Obviously ABC & Fleiss are putting more stock into her season and the outcome as opposed to Matt & Shayne's ending....

So as I duck from all the tomatoes being thrown from those who have seen the romance blossom (gag) between these Matt & Shayne....I suggest you switch over to Bachette and watch a woman show how to choose a man!

Besides woman follow their hearts & think with their mind...men may follow their heart but think with their PE-nut brain (that's why we love you guys!)

In order to get Shayne's exact wording, I just rewatched their FD. Neither have the acting skills to hide their smirks. They are friendly co-conspirators who know the part they are playing. By the time of the FDs, it appears they also got to be good pals as well as costars. As astute as he is, I also think Matt is smart enough to think with the head above his shoulders.

I agree dodie I didn't see anything wrong with it either. She has a great body and she was trying to impress Matt, which uh I think she did

The one thing I will say though is that I'm pretty sure that Chelsea would have chosen to wait until the cameras were gone, but those pesky producers prodded her into changing on camera. Unfortunately in showing that scene I knew that many would judge her actions unfavorably. I'm pretty sure if Chelsea was F1 then Fleiss would not have included that scene at all.

Neither Shayne nor Chelsea have been edited in a great light, IMO. Fleiss has taken the liberty to throw them both under the bus. This reminds me soooo much of the edits for last season and I have to wonder why Fleiss would do this when there is the "most romantic proposal ever". It wouldn't bother me one bit if ABC decided that they no longer wanted to air The Bachelor anymore.

Wow! Do you think it's possible that the "fleissing" this season came in the form of a love story between Shayne and the audience? He took an unknown actress, albeit pretty, who comes off dim and shallow. He paired her with a designated stooge and put her in front of an audience full of skeptics. It now looks as if 75% of that same audience is in love with her.

It almost makes me want to applaud, after I throw up. I thought the improv date in Bachelor 11 was disgusting but this season has reached a new low in its portrayal of the women. I have better things to do with my time.

So is the proposal no different from any romantic movie we might see - in other words it's just acting - so neither is really getting engaged ?? Makes me wonder !
