Sorry northernviewer, I guess I'm just tired of all the demeaning posts in totality about the contestants. Everything on TB is producer driven ... the dates, the storylines, the slicing 2 sentences into one to make it seem like someone said something they didn't even say. We wouldn't watch our neighbor's video of their date, but we watch TB because of the competition format ... and Fleiss has to add drama in to get the competition to a level that makes it interesting.

I don't agree. I would say that Tessa got the "passion" edit while Bevin got the "lust" edit. ... I do agree that Moana got a sort of "passion" edit, but she was competing with Sarah Tennessee, who got the "I'm feeling nothing at all for her" edit. Why that one would win, I have no idea!

In this case, I'd say Shayne is getting the "comfort and lust" edit, maybe, while Chelsea is getting the -- "boy she intrigues me and keeps slipping away from me and I'm puzzled and that makes me passionate about chasing her" edit, much like Tessa.

Just because for some odd reason I am actually dreaming about this show, I think I just need to get
my thoughts down so I can forget about it until the FRC on Monday!

1. I do think Shayne came on the show for exposure, and probably did have some "screen time" agreements with the show.
However, it doesn't mean she couldn't have fallen head over heals for Matt. I think most of the girls
come on the show with some type of agenda other than falling for the bachelor - whether its
for exposure on TV, just to have some fun, go on great dates, and maybe find a really great guy.
Heck, if I were younger and had some free time and didn't have to quit my job, it would
be an experience to talk about to say the least.

2. I don't think Matt was forced to pick Shayne or keep her until a certain time, except maybe past the first
or second elimination. I also don't think Shaynes type was something he was looking for… at least
by his own description (other than being an all american girl). But we don't always follow what our heads
tell us to do… matters of the heart often go against what we know would be "best"… which isn't always bad!

3. I do see a connection between Matt and Shayne, more so than any other woman that was there. It
did seem more "comfortable" than any other relationship there… maybe that is because Shayne is use
to the having camera's around. I don't think it was a set up from the beginning though.

4. I am a little mad that Matt has convinced Chelsea on a number of occasions that he really wants her there, knowing
that Shayne was always the one. I keep thinking of the conversation they were having on the couch on the fantasy
date (before she changed) and he said something like "I think I've said too much already" indicating how much
he wanted her to open up and it appeared he really wanted a relationship with her. I don't know, maybe
he let Amanda and Noelle go first because he knew they cared more than Chelsea does… and he
didn't want to hurt them, but it really does appear he kept wanting Chelsea to like him more… so
she may have a lot of false hope.

5. I still find it extremely hard to believe they didn't try and hide the ending more… from all the SC's,
to the editing/screen time of Shayne… there is no doubt about F1. I know we all wanted
a love story after the Brad nightmare… but we also like a little mystery!! If for some far out
ending and Chelsea ends up F1, then I will know for sure Shayne was a plant and knew she
would be out at F2… so did a lot of those sunset shots as a set up for a shocking ending.

Okay, now maybe I can sleep tonight without dreaming about the ending of the bachelor!!

There's a new video of Matt with his parents and brother ... he told them he's more comfortable with Shayne, and more passion for Chelsea. His parents' opine they see him more with Shayne, and his brother sees him more with Chelsea.

Somebody in another thread pointed out that Matt said in an interview that his parents helped him make his decision. Another thing pointing to Shayne.

But you still have to buy the story and with Shayne, I don't buy the story. Boy wants to meet girl so that boy can get married, start a family, live happily ever after. Girl wants face time on prime-time TV instead of prior cable TV reality show and low budget D- movies. Girl's daddy knows Fliess. Girl's dad says she has relationship issues because he was an absentee father and girl's mom with plastic surgery gone bad says all girl ever wanted was to be a celebrity. So...fairly regular guy boy falls for self-described high maintenance girl with a whine with her wine and cheese. Back to story...most romantic proposal ever? Is that because girl upgraded her acting skills? Because if we're supposed to believe that boy met his soul mate in the girl we're being sold, I'm not buying it!

well IDK....it gets harder and harder to believe what you hear on these clips since we know how much Fleiss loves to slice and dice...but if he feels the most passion with Chelsea...then I feel like they have left a lot of stuff out
