Buckeyegal007 - I brought this over because I want to make a point about the time they will or won't show with Amanda. We know that Andy liked Tessa, he had the 2-on-1 date with her. She would never have gotten the Cinderella date had she not been so eager to leave and Andy needed to convince her to stay. We know this because Andy insisted she have the date even though it was for someone else. Now having said that I think we would have still seen Tessa winning even though she wouldn't have had that date. Andy knew."I thought Amanda and Matt's date was cute last night....it provides a jumping off point for their relationship. Although, as much as I hate to say it, if not much is shown of Amanda next week, I'm afraid she'll be F3...but I'm hoping more of her and Matt's interactions are shown next week. I liked the interaction b/w Matt, Amanda, and Chelsea was shown at the end of the show. It shows that they do have cute moments together...Did anyone else think the music Amanda got during the kiss at the diner was the special F1 guitar music, or am I just hearing things?
I do notice that Matt and Amanda are always sitting next to one another before the RC's. Shayne is always on the other side of the room...little things I notice that might make the difference.
I still have a hard time beliving Shayne is the F1 with the edit she's getting. The F1 has never been in the spotlight so much and has never had a negative edit like she is getting. Maybe it's just me though..." Buckeyegal007
I think the same is with Matt except Amanda is a little different than Tessa. She understands the process and is willing to put up with it. Let's not forget what Matt said about the woman he ends up with has to put up with the process and understand he will be dating other women and KISSING other women but still hang in there because they know it is the process. I see Amanda as doing this. She had her date, in groups he gravitates towards her, it's okay as long as the ending is good.
Shayne on the other hand picked up on him saying the woman has to put up with this and is saying what she thinks he wants to hear. This is what he has already stated as a criteria. Causalfan says ""He asks if she's sure she wants to be here and she says, "Look what I'm doing -- I'm sharing a man I'm falling in love with with seven other women!" They kiss and he strokes her face reassuringly." - but to me this is an echo of what Matt has said he expects of the woman he ends up with. Not really sincerity on Shayne's part but what is necessary to "play" the part Matt is expecting of the F1.
In the end he will have to use more than physical connection to pick the final one. In a relationship you must also be a friend, a lover, a caretaker, a companion, a compliment to one another. You must be the other half, not a fantasy. I don't see Shayne as this person for Matt. They are two different sides of the spectrum. Amanda is closer as is Chelsea. If Matt does indeed become more serious and think with his brain AND his heart, Shayne will run her course and leave at F3 or F2. If he buys into the fantasy, she will be F1 and it will end soon after the show is over as reality will intrude and show they were never compatible.
