kind of hard to tell. I think he's looking at amanda the way his face is facing in her general direction. but it's possible he's looking towards Noelle too.

Anyway, you are 100% correct in the comparison to Top Chef. It is tightly edited, it doesn't take long before you feel like you know something significant about each competitor, and each episode presents its own story while feeding into the larger story at the end. People aren't hidden, and there's a great balance between the time given the short-termers and the long-termers.

This show doesn't have 1/10th of the coherence and polish.

rewatched the show and noticed that when Chris comes in and tells them about SunValley , Shayne was wearing a black top that was off one shoulder- and in the PI she is talking about being able to show off her skiing - because she 'can ski- surprisingly'her words..... but it def looked tropical...something they thru in to fool everyone...

Precisely. I rewound the tape and if you notice at the beginning, when Chris Harrison was announcing the date in ID, most are wearing jackets/hoodies and drinking warm beverages(in mugs). Then when they left it was sunny and seemed warmer, but only Noelle and Amanda dressed lightly(no jackets like everyone else).

I just rewatched the show also, and picked up something that I did not pick up last night. When Matt comes to pick up Noelle, he kisses Shayne. When arriving for the RC, he kisses Shayne. These kisses are midst very choppy cuts. Judging by Noelle's favorable reaction, I'm going to assume all the girls got a smooch (on both occasions). Why is Fleiss trying so hard to convince us that Shayne must be F1? This goes beyond just providing additional airtime for Shayne.

And notice that Matt kissed Shayne after Noelle greeted him at the door.....
