Then why do we see him pulling back from Shayne after that date? He held the rose away from him at the last RC when giving it to Shayne. He held the rose up close for both Amanda and Chelsea to make them come closer to him.

The pool scene may appear intimate - but.......... I don't see the kiss in the SC's as being so natural and comfortable - she is puckering and reaching into him to stay connected to the kiss - but hey - will have to see it in living color to really 'get it'.

I haven't seen any natural feelings from either of them really (Shayne and Matt). Is he physically attracted to her? He probably was at the beginning but it looks like that over time that has faded. When he became serious about the whole process you could see him pulling away from Shayne and some of the other ladies. I see Shayne going to him or pulling him to her more than him going to her or pulling her to him. I don't know, it just doesn't appear natural. Not sure exactly how to explain it.

And this is exactly where the different supporters differ - and causing all the rucus LOL - I think to the regular viewer - they do see a 'connection' (gulp) with Shayne and Matt - but do not see the nuances that folks on this board see - and for some it is wishful thinking who has the 'best' connection (gulp again). Maybe it really is Matt and Shayne in the end - but I don't see a passion between them that will carry them thru the real world. He may be besmitten by her - warts and all - but really being 'in love' - not so sure - but some very good convincing scenes have been shown - tho how real they are is up to interpretation.

I was just editing some video and found this shot. Shayne's dimple sure looks a lot like the proposal arm's dimple. I really think that's her arm.

There is also a large group of us who believe Shayne if the F1 strictly due to what the scs and storyline tell us.
For myself, I could care less about any romantic relationship between the bachelor and his chosen for many seasons now. I don't let myself become distracted by that. People see things based on their perceptions and become very subjective.
I have given up that route completely and only go by what I can prove with the facts.
Many of the "nuances" and what people think are nonverbal cues are scripted and edited to get the result Fleiss wants to portray. Bloggers have stated many times that takes and retakes are done relentlessly for Fleiss to get the effect he wants, regardless of real feelings.
So for some of us in Shayne's corner, it has nothing to do with any connection whatsoever. I could care less if they are in love or like or are indifferent to each other, that is their business. I just want to figure out who the F1 is.

Looking again at this picture-- does it look to anyone else that it could be an eternity band??? I agree, it doesn't look exactly like the engagement ring; it looks shinier all over - hence my thought that it could be diamonds around it. IDK, I'm going to have another

I understand what you are saying - and the interpretation is in the eyes of the viewer - of what we see - vs what we don't see - and can't assume what we don't see as well. Some things just can't be denied as well.

Figuring who is F1 at this point is impossible IMHO - tho most of us have a preference - of that I have no doubt
