Chelsea **Spoilers**

I just don't get what happened last night---at all.

Did Chelsea, after being bored and distant all day, suddenly realize "Oh my goodness, I only have a few hours left, I had better do the most romantic thing I can think of....I know, I'll take off my panties!"???

Did Matt actually think, after feeling all day that he had a better connection and more intimacy with the sea turtles "Bloody He!!, she took off her knickers----she really does love me!" ???

Is Matt such the Bachelor virgin that he maybe thought that he was the only one privvy to Chelseas privates?? Did he think that somehow that wouldn't wind up in the final edit??? Or did he think it was a good idea for his ailing old dad to see just what his son was getting himself into... (ahem).???

Was Matt sure he was picking Shayne, so he knew he had to get rid of Amanda or Chelsea, and he decided not to get rid of Chelsea because she had "bared herself" to him?

Does he think his Monkey is up for a catfight with Captain No Underpants???

I just don't get it.

I just don't get it.

It can only be understood for what it is. Bad plotting by creative team. If you read the episode recaps they read as if they are the creative team's notes of how to mold the scenes and characters.

This is not a documentary following the lives and adventures of a group of people engaged in spontaneous courtship interactions (even allowing for necessity of contrived setups).

The topics for conversation, body and tongue positions are suggested and performed, with whatever enticement, pressure or liquor it takes to persuade the participants to go for it.

Chelsea is still my favorite. She is a lot like me in way. I am not a PDA person at all. There are certain things I am not ever going to be comfortable with in public. This drives my husband up the wall that he can't rub my butt when we are at Wal-Mart, but that is just the way I am. However when we are alone I am totally in my comfort zone and quite affectionate. I am also not a big kiss in front of family, friends, etc type of person. The words "you may now kiss the bride" worried me to no end. This does not however mean I do not have a sexual or flirty side, because I can be terribly wonderful at both of those, ask my husband
When I watched the first part of the date with them I felt terrible. I just thought this couldn't be happening!!!! Then when she explained at dinner what her problem was, it totally hit me, that is sooooooo it! I am also this same way. I mean if there were 2 other women on that island also after the guy I liked, it would drive me absolutely crazy out of my mind, wondering what their dates were like, what they talked about, did he hold her hand this way, did she already say what I feel like saying, am I going to sound like a broken record of what they already said? I would have shut down emotionally as well. I am sure that after the date ended, someone gave her a pep talk. There is no way she could have gone on with out one. Not like you are allowed to pick up the phone and call your best friend for advice. I mean really, they can't call anyone for the pick me up talk.

And another thing, what is so bad about her in the nighty.? Are we really all in denial about this stuff or what? Most people together for a year before getting engaged, and by this standard they are on like the 9th month. In those terms I don't think what she did was bad at all. This is reality tv, in 2008, not little house on the prarie.

Just IMO...can't wait for next week!!!!! (I posted this on the ABC boards as well....but seems ppl here are more up my alley with this show. I have watched almost ever season since the first one, minus a few that I thought they guys were sort of BLAH.... So glad I finally am posting here!!!!

Hey everyone,
It sure has been a wile since we have been on this board... But after last nights episode I felt something was terribly wrong... We have known CHels for years and she would have never dropped her boy shorts like that. Hmmm? So I called her last night and she was miserable, super disappointed and absolutely shocked. She told me that she is not aloud to talk about the episode as far as what was not shown, but she did say she did not take off her panties at all. She said she was wearing a very short dress at dinner and wanted to change into something comfy, so they told her she could, but it would have to be on film. She undressed but they assured her it would be edited nicely and that it would never make TV because ABC is owned by Disney. She had been drinking so she didn't think too much of it. She took her white boy shorts off because they told her to because the black dress had see thru mesh around the waste and it looked weird. After she took them off she put black underwear on... but of course that was not shown. She feels so betrayed at the way she is being portrayed!! SHe is such a classy woman.. outspoken yes, free spirited yes, skanky no.

Chelsea was in the hands of some manipulative people, and her only mistake was trusting them. Please tell her a lot of us "get" what happened. I hope she does well with whatever she does next, and I hope she didn't end up with Matt because he is, as Amanda said, a douche bag.
