That's a good point. I would think an accurate barometer of their place in the food chain would be the focus of the cameras. If they see that Shayne's every move is filmed but say, Amy gets ignored then subsequently dumped, well that would tell them something about which one is more important for the production (and the Bachelor). Noelle would have known better than other girls because she's seen TV production inside and out before, being in the business. When this is all said and done, I'd like to hear from Noelle the most.

It's the Shayne Show, lol. Sometimes the true star of the production does not have the lead role of record in movies. Shayne is being sold as "Hollywood Royalty, etc., thus is the true prize. This is the first time that one of the bachelorettes is actually putting the bachelor in a somewhat subservient position. There has never been anyone who has been described as an actress on the BACH before has there been? I would attribute it in part to the writer's strike, but there may be other factors. There were shades of this with Tessa and lots of behind the scenes stuff, but nothing nearly as blatant to the casual viewer. The casual viewer would not have known of Tessa's background.
This train of thought makes me think that Shayne may well be F2, not F1. In a dramatic turn of events Shayne, (woman of "a million roses", may be shown judging Matt. Hmmm, how would that play out? This season is just SO different.

It might also give someone the impression that Amanda's meeps were being exploited instead of the fact that she was one of the 'main characters'...

Once they pull the rug out from Robin's feet, they gotta shove it under someone else's. That would probably be Noelle and/or Amanda. And wouldn't it be dramatic for the spotlight to go out on Robin, and then start shining on the girl she told to not accept a rose?

I don't know if I agree that Noelle's comment is based on production resources. That's certainly possible, but she's had one part in one episode of one tv show, and a bit part in one film. So she's not exactly an industry veteran, it seems to me she's still trying to break in and find her way. My sense is that she had a connection with Matt early on and then his focus was directed away to all the girls creating drama, so she was feeling left in the lurch.

I don't dislike Shayne, BUT --- I read that as ingratiating herself with the other girls ('don't dislike me because I'm getting all of the attention'), and it was also an opportunity for Shayne to get more screen time. I mean, if she was just in it to help the other girls, why the flashy kiss for Matt as she left - just because she wants the other girls to have a chance? Doesn't seem that selfless to me.

Please keep in mind.....she could of been producer directed to do just that....just like it looked like Noelle & Christine interrupted Matt/Amanda. That is what we as the viewers DON'T know how much in this whole production is being directed as such...

ITA...it could all be scripted, we do not see the whole show. IMO she's likable and hope she makes it far.

Yes it does.

And also captures how much footage there is of Shayne ... which at this point in time, seems to be the only girl who has a storyline developing.
