look at the doubts that meredith had with ian--and jen with jerry (and she did pick jerry)---just because he has doubts doesn't mean she won't be picked--she's the only one of the 3 who has a storyline and it is a fairly strong one--will she commit? From last night it seemed clear to me that amanda will not be in the f2--they have shown nothing of her but the meeps--so i don't think amanda is going to win his heart--shayne, however, i can definitely see it.

I like Shayne alot,I just don't think she will win..It is a set up for her because I actually think she is pretty confident in her connection.Last night she even talked about how things will go,etc..they will get to know one another....

Why would they show us so little of Amanda and she go so far..we will see more next week..
I just think the story line will be that Shayne had no idea of his feelings for another and it will be a surprise to her.. and heartbreaking.

She is so obvious at this point and is getting way ,way too much time for her to win..Ian never got that kind of time so early on..they kept saying he was shy..like Amanda..It was later on their date that we saw a connection and we knew..
I did not get fireworks from the Shayne date last night ..a lot of questioning for so early on and doubts,maybe once they got to know one another better,but not during the infatuation stage.....

I have no idea how far she got on TB, and frankly I know better than to ask. Although I am close with the family Shayne being gone for long periods of time is not unusual. Now that I have come forth, I challenge any and all posters who have stated this young lady was hired or that this season's Bachelor is a complete "set up" to say it again and prove it. Shayne does not need me to defend her. Trust me, she would give you her last penny and the shirt off of her back. Being a Mom myself, and knowing Shayne and her family as I do, I felt it was important for you to know the real truth so we can once and for all close the book on the UNTRUTH...

Thank you for your post, Elozie! This backs up what I had heard in terms of no one being "hired" for the show, rather the women were cast as per past seasons. I appreciate your sharing this with us.

I agree that at this point she is the only one of the F3 that has a building storyline. I didn't really come on the boards until Bachelor 10, prior to that has the F1 always had a story line that starts building early on in the season?

You are welcome, casualfan! A "connection" between the F1 and the Bachelor/Bachelorette has to be made early so that we understand the story. Someone can be hidden but there is still a connection or a flow between the two throughout the shows. For example, Andrew had selected Jen out early for SQT in a group date. The opposite would be when Jerry was front and center as F1 during Jen's Bachelorette show. Some people wrote him off as being F1 because he was so out there and Jen was obviously attracted to him.

There are also voice overs and ITM (in the moments) that are injected that I pay attention to in terms of who is saying what, and where it applies.

I never remember in the negative edits "The Bachelor" calling the F1 'one sandwich short of a picnic", or commenting on their drama. The edit is negative but the Bachelor doesn't contribute to it. That is why a few of us think she is not F1.

Actually i felt that spoke perfectly about a relationship---most men (whether they ever admit it to their lover or not) thinks the woman they have fallen for is both crazy and wonderful. They may not say it to your face, but they certainly feel that way---so i took that as a good indication that he really does fancy the pants off of her--one thing i've learned in my research is that love is often filled with the realization that this person is crazy but she is also the best thing in the world. I'm not saying that shayne is f1--she very well may be, who knows--but i DEFINITELY don't think amanda is the f1

I think next week we will see more...I don't get Chealsy as a F1 or F2 at all..she has a friend vibe only to me,she probably will be cut at F3

I like Shayne a lot..love to see her as the Bachelorette!!I think she will add a lot of entertainment this season,but is not ready to commit and is more fun for Matt.
Amanda is being hidden completely,for someone we know goes soo far..She has gotten less time than all the other top girls..it seems a deliberate thing to me,to take attention away from her for now and set the others up first,if she were going to loose,they would build her up...knowing we all would like her and show a connection,only to have her be crushed when she leaves..that would be a story line for her..and they are not showing us that at all..just a developing(even the little we have seen)romance..

I doubt Shayne is F1 given the statement he made about his parents helping him see things and the relationships clearly.

Listening to his post show interviews don't point to Shayne

i guess i've seen no romance between them at all--their one on one talk was awkward even before they were interrupted--i think he likes amanda, but i don't see any real connection at all between them--from the little we've been shown. And, i wouldn't rule chelsea out yet--she's coming on in there--i think it will come down to chelsea and shayne--and i will be hating the boards after final 3 night when amanda is sent home--it is not going to be pretty on here i fear.
