Well, actually Shayne said that she had been to Vegas "thousands" of times....

right...I think she was just trying to say she has been there several times...I am from Los Angeles, lived here my whole life & I have been to Vegas about 60 times...in conversation, I might say "Ive been there a million times" because locals visit all the time..it's a 4 hour drive, a fun weekend and I really think that's what she meant

I am not so sure I agree that these statements show her to be self-absorbed but are more her telling it like it is. For example the comment that she gets hundreds of roses, Im sure most of the girls on the show have gotten atleast 100 roses in the past. I am in my 20's and Id say between past boyfriends and my parents that would be a true statement for me as well. After her rose statement if I am remembering correctly I think she goes on to say something about how she is not used to fighting over one rose, which she wants very much.

Re: Shayne **Spoilers**

I did not see this as "entitlement" from her. I'm sure she has never been in a situation such as this. She is probally used to guys wanting to date her because of "Hollywood" connection. I'm sure she has been used by guys trying to make a connection not with her but with her "in's" into Hollywood. I actually understood and respected her even more when she told him she was sorry and explained. He questioned her about reason she was there, even bring up actress bit. She may or may not in actuality end up as F1 or F2, but in my eyes she does. I respect her for the fact even at her age and with her connections she as far as I know hasn't ever ended up anything like Brittney S. or others like Brittney. In my book she is really smart in this respect. I'm now pulling for to end up as F1 or F2. I would have been much worse than she was if I had to compete against 25 other women: who are not beyond doing anything for a rose.

I get that. You are 40 and she is 22 so maybe she went with her family as a kid. It sounded pretentious to me, especially when paired with her comment, I am used to getting dozens of roses, not just one.

Editing can tweak things but it cannot put words in your mouth.

It will take a lot to convince me that Matt is interested beyond lust. She is the most beautiful and stylish woman there, to me, but I see this as a staged pick. We know production encourages the bachelor to keep some on for the sake of entertainment. They would never force him to let someone go in place of a drama queen but by the end of the second week, the bachelors know who is a likely candidate and those with no chemistry.

In her defense to say she is acting because she is an actor is nonsense. Does that mean that Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks are not sincere when not in a movie role?

Her credibility is definately in question just from being on other reality shows. I cannot shake the notion that her agent landed her this spot.

Re: Shayne **Spoilers**

Then that would definatly mean:
1. She would get paid upfront. Jenni didn't.(Card carrying SAG member)
2. He (Her Agent)would negotiate for to have the best edit and ending up as F1.
3.Fliess- would not give up controll of any part of Bach to anyone no matter who's daughter
I say may the Best Lady win, whomever that might be.

I think that is a great statement..

however because she is at home in front of the cameras, is why most seem to question her genuine intentions....I think that like anything in life... when you are in environment that is similar to business....you take on your business personna....understand????:shr ug

The women I've known from ages 11 to 16 (the 5 years from 6th grade through 10th grade) who were drama-queens, guess what most of them still are? Drama Queens!

When drama works as a teenager -- and considering Shayne's environment -- how much do you think she would want to change? (Oh wait, rhetorical question.) You change your tactics when current strategy stops working. The drama has worked for her, so, hey, why deviate from standard operating procedure? I don't think there's been incentive or a catalyst for change. Maybe Matt could be the catalyst.

Many people become adults between high school and their early 20s. Others don't. In some respects, she seems mature for her age, but the childhood tantrums (I always get what I want) make her seem spoiled and needy.

Matt definitely "fancies" her. Could he be hoping she'll calm down once he gives her some 1-on-1 time? We'll see ...

Right but you are assuming that the poster is correct and not someone still mad that she rejected him 10 years ago...as far as the "tantrum" I would hardly call it that...and the whole thing was chopped & edited big time...I really think a few more episodes will show if she really is a "drama queen" or a "spoiled brat" jmo that it is WAY to early to tell now

Exactly. I agree. Some people may change somewhat over the years...maturing, etc....but some of your traits remain with you through life.
