I agree with you, Bronwyn. I think sometimes when we choose an early favorite, our perceptions are clouded over by what is really going on. I started the show liking Amanda, but I could see right away where Matt's heart was, and it wasn't with anyone but Shayne in my opinion. I stayed completely unbiased the rest of the show, and theirs was the only love story I saw evolving.

I also started the show liking Amanda and thought she would be the F1. I actually was a little biased against Shayne and even Matt. But I couldn't deny the love I saw developing between Shayne and Matt and how adorable they were together.

My point was that it was the perception by many that she was hired for the show and that it had nothing to do with whether or not someone's favourite wasn't chosen in the end.

I'll take a stab at answering this for you. Shayne was given special treatment during her time on the Bachelor. She and she alone was able to take more than the normal amount of luggage than what they normally let the ladies take. She and she alone got a FD in a villa that cost $8000 a night. She and she alone had double the amount of air time in every episode while the other ladies got whatever was left over. She and she alone got the use of "Holly's" spray tanning machine (which by the way, I REALLY doubt was Holly's to begin with). See where I am going with all of this. You wanted reasons, those are just a few. This entire season has been the Shayne Show. Even to the point of making Matt, the bachelor, almost a side note to his own season. ALOT of people have a problem with all of the special treatments that Shayne received and many do believe she received them because of her dad and his connection to M Fleiss.

I agree with you sclilred1. The problem is no matter how clear these things are there are those who don't see it. I don't know how but they don't.

I really doubt the spray tanner was Holly's either. I would like to know if it was or not. That, to me, is interesting.

As has recently been stated we all have our opinions and see things differently. For what it is worth, the spray tanner was Holly's she said so in an interview. She also said that it was actually much more compact than it looked AND she brought just as many suitcases and shoes as Shayne. Maybe Fleiss offered her the Shayne Lamas preferential treatment as well. Shayne did get the most expensive Fantasy Date, as have many of the other F1's in the past.

1. Holly confirmed in an interview it was her spray machine.

2. The F2's always get more screentime in every season, with F3 having the least amount of screentime than any of the F3. Jenni received the most screentime, Bettina the least. With Chelsea being F2, and having her guard up to the extent that she doesn't even sit close to him, or doesn't like PDA's, what are they going to show throughout the show of Chelsea with Matt? More of the awkwardness that we saw at the FD's?

3. One of the ways to sleuth out who is F1 is the cost of the fantasy suite ... F1 getting the most expensive. If Chelsea were F1, she would have been at The Great House. BTW, Amanda was in the Presidential Suite ... not chump change for that suite either.

4. Tessa received diamonds on her Cinderella date, I don't recall their value. Sheena received $15,000.00 diamond earrings on her Cinderella date. There have been others that have received expensive diamonds throughout the bachelor ... and yet, they weren't considered to be getting special treatment.

The ones that have been mentioned have been single instances with one girl unlike with Shayne where she has ALL of them wrapped up just for her. As far as the tanner goes, that's great if it was really Holly's and that she was nice enough to share it with Shayne. But I also doubt that Holly was telling the truth. After all, how many times have we heard that Fleiss must have told the leaving ladies to say that Amanda was the one they picked for Matt to "throw off" the viewers about Shayne. Really does work both ways, right? Holly, like all of the other women, is still under contract with Fleiss. It doesn't really make a difference to me if people think the way I do or not. However, do not say that there was NO special treatment for Shayne when clearly there was.
