I agree we need to watch further , but I did find Shayne to be a little on the imature side tonight. maybe normal , but not for this bachelor, he seems to be older then his years ( maybe from having older brothers) , but between Ashley and Shayne tonight , I think the youth came out a little too much for our boy. JMO

There was a blog last week (sue me for not knowing where I read this) that basically said Shayne is a girl who doesn't need to go looking for a man. Men will come looking for her. I liked that Matt spoke his mind about how she has to deal with what she is going through because the other women vying for his affections are in the same situation. She totally admitted this. IMO, Shayne is a really smart, sweet girl who tonight didn't know how to deal with the emotions she was going through. I paid special interest to the reaction of the women around her. For tonight at least they were really sweet and supportive, which leads me to believe that this is the way that Shayne is as well. If Fleiss wanted her to really be a villain they would have had some commentary from the girls about Shayne's "breakdown". This may change next week, and if she is the F1 her edit will improve. There is so much time for the edit to improve though. For me it's still too soon to go beyond who we have pegged for the F3.

Thank you. I was expecting the worst after reading what the East Coast viewers thought of the episode. I admire her for having the guts to confront him like she did and I also like that he didn't back down either...though I didn't like something he said. She was talking about how it was hard for her to compete for a guy or whatever and he said that he wants to be with someone that's OK with it...now I get that these girls should understand how this show works (though, maybe not the intensity of it), but why should they be OK with it?

i didn't watch the ep yet, but if you did so, maybe she had a hard time on that date, thats why, and for matt, sometimes pictures or video aren't the true form

oh my god so so she felt sad on that ep, i have to download the ep and watch it, you are completly right casualfan because they don't know person past,that why they judge from the outside and from fake editing

I saw her question, "Do you think I am going to wait in the sidelines for you?" to be arrogant and self centered. Matt's response was excellent. If she were smart, she would have done her best to have a good time and stand out in the crowd. I saw a girl who was used to getting attention and verbally stomped her feet because she wasn't getting enough from Matt. I just do not see the sweet girl that some are commenting on here. Time will tell us more and I will watch with an open mind.

More than the petulance and immaturity, I saw insincerity. I am worried about her being planted. I know that I read on the FoRT way before the season even started filming, that she was selected (or should it be hired) to be a Bachelorette. Someone on here commented about the ties between Lorenzo Lamas and Fleiss, and it makes me so skeptical. The icing on the cake for me was the "I already have feelings for Matt so I am going to stay" speech after only ONE NIGHT!!!! This was premature drama and the writers should have held it back for a few more days to make it at least SOUND credible.

What drove me crazy was when her voiceover came on to say that she is used to getting what she wants and when she wants it. She's used to getting dozens of roses, not just one. (Or something similar to that effect...please feel free to correct me....)

It just made me wanna.....

I think she's getting a F3 edit, maybe F2, definitely not F1. I don't recall which thread it was in, but someone said that one of the last girls, F2 or F3, complained and complained and complained about being dumped, making quite the fuss. Of Amanda, Chelsea, and Shayne, which most sounds like someone who'd carry on about not being F1? I'm convinced the complainer is Shayne.

And it's too bad, because I like her. I think she's awfully young and I wouldn't call her mature for her age, not by any stretch of the imagination. But I feel like she went into this as a lark and is late in grappling with what it actually involves. She's not the first contestant this has happened to, and she won't be the last. I thought her attempt at discussion with Matt was a sincere but poorly executed attempt to say something like "I know we're all here for the same reason, but I really like you and it bothers me that I can't have more of your time."

I'm watching for a redemption edit that doesn't quite go the distance. I'm more familiar with redemption edits in other reality shows, but that's what I'm seeing here.
