I don't think Robin would have tried another scheming tactic to get Matt alone twice in the same show. She did have some alone time with him at Tennis and their conversation was pretty much surface talk ("you cracked me up with your Britishness") although he did say that he feels that they connect on many different levels and that's important to him. Or something like that.

I also noticed that Matt seemed to be the one to ask specific girls to come and talk with him as opposed to the previous week where the girls were falling all over him to get alone time with him. Maybe he learned his lesson last week and realized that he had to be the one to initiate the 1 on 1 talks or it could get uncomfortable. Add to that the crashing in on the talk by Noelle and Kristine and I think our boy 'clevered up' that if he doesn't start initiating the talks then the producers are going to make him or create drama for the girls that want to talk to him.

Oh, I don't think that.....

It's just that Matt specifically asked each girl without a rose to sit and talk, and he asked them all point blank questions, except Robin. She is the only one we did not see him have any time with pre-RC that did not already have a rose.

It was like he came in with the intent to talk to the ones without roses and make his decision, and we saw that, just nothing with Robin....it would be a little weird if he talked to everyone who didn't have a rose but her, wouldn't it?

Without a doubt he talked to Robin - the 4 roseless gals last night certainly looked very nervous

I just wish we could have seen a little of that conversation. It just seems like such a big blank in the scheme of things that has me wondering why?

I think the reason they didn't show much of Matt and Amanda's date was twofold: 1) TPTB don't want it to be completely obvious that these two are totally into each other and 2) one hour is just waaaay too short of a time to fit all we need to see. No disrespect to Christina Applegate, but at this point, I think we need 90 minutes of the Bachelor!! If Fleiss wants to get his ratings up, then I think a 90 minute episode is better, especially if this is the romantic ending we are all hoping for...

BTW, I had the volume turned down pretty low last night (feeding a sleepy baby), so I couldn't hear much of what was said during the Amanda date, but I agree 100% with what Lynn said - their body language was very telling!!! I think they are very into each other. She is like a great surprise to him. I'm glad he appreicates her.

Probably because we saw Matt and Robin during the tennis date's 1n1 time - we didn't see Noelle's 1n1 time during that date - so they switched them up a bit

The facial expression that he exhibits when he's talking about hand on heart, eyebrows raised, eyes blink, nodding the negative, eyes amused or surprised, was surprising. I think our fellow has realized that one girl in particular has brought him back to his original focus and he's a little stunned that it happened. He isn't saying this 'to' Marshana but, the way he's expressing himself is that he's using her as a confidant. He's voicing what he has been thinking and is surprised to realize that he is here to find the one and that she could be in the group of remaining women. Recognition verified he gets down to business.

Did he say hand over heart? I thought I heard him say: "I'm really here head and heart to find the right one". I probably misunderstood that but I did play it back a 2nd time; if that is what he said it does change my thinking slightly. I first interpreted it as that he was using both his intellect and his heart as in "totally committed". I feel a little foolish now. But, hey that's OK - hand over heart is sincere also.

Ashlee: my husband was just passing through when he saw Ashlee wipe Matt's kiss off with the back of her hand right in front of Matt - he said: "Dude! get rid of her - fast!"

It is amazing what we 'hear' and 'see' when we turn the volume down

I think there is ALOT that we are not getting to see...this season seems to be very "choppy" for some reason...nothing is flowing from week to week....we normally have FRC caps by now and we have ZIPPO!.....some things just aren't adding up...

P.S. Go back and rewatch some of the Shayne kissing scenes...hubby thinks it looks as though SHE does not respond to those kisses....just plays the part really well

and why did we only get a 1 hour episode again...do we only get longer episodes when the date involves certain people????

Okay, that's what I was trying to say in three thousand words that you did in one sentence

I think the fact that he had time with Robin during tennis meant that they didn't need to show the pre-rose ceremony talk with Robin. If they did talk it would have been very interesting to find out the kinds of questions he raised with her.

Yeah, he said, "hand on heart." Kind of like scouts honour.

I completely missed Ashlee wiping that kiss off. Too funny!
