If you closely follow the elbow bend of Matt's left arm, you can see a bit of wrist resting between them. Ahem...a little higher than it should be.

His right hand seems to be a deep hold reading as not wanting to let her go. The problem I have is that it seems like he is casually leaning against the car and it looks like he has his left hand in his pocket which reads as protecting or guarding oneself. Maybe he's trying to hide something?

I definitely see the same kind of expression with Shayne/Matt as I do with Amanda/Matt. There are subtle differences but it could also relate to the fact that the one with Amanda happens sooner than the one with Shayne so it *looks* like there is more affection with Shayne. Without having the benefit of kissing screencaps of Amanda in a fantasy suite I would actually give more weight to the kiss with her than I would Shayne because he indicates that kind of emotion so soon. Having said that, I'll have a better idea next week on the winery date with Shayne if I'm really confident about that (the M&M kiss).

In the shot with Shayne he is gently caressing her face with his arm around her back. It looks tender and loving. It also kind of reads as comforting so I don't know if she's teary eyed but her body language almost leads me to believe that she might be and he's trying to reassure her. She seems like she is almost in a fetal position with her hands at his chest reading as needy for something emotional not physical. Of course, it's a photo and I always find them so hard to read when compared to the actual scene.

He's also not holding her the way that I would read as he doesn't want to let her go. It's more protective and gentle; like he wants to look after her.

I get a total friend vibe here between Matt and Chelsea. I know he has another girl under his other arm and isn't going to be feeling her up while holding on to Kelly (or whatever blonde it is, I get them all confused). As much as she makes him laugh and as much as they seem to kiss later, I just see them as good chums, not lovers.

I'm not Lynn but I would say bewilderment or disbelief. I don't see jealousy.JMO

Matt is with Kelly and she actually appears to be sober

I am getting the same vibe as you. There is something about Chelsea that comes across as she is more into him than he is into her. It's more than likely just a friend connection on his part.
