Re: Body, Lip and Facial Communication Bachelor 12 *SPOILERS*

Perhaps on the Ellen show she was not permitted to jump on his back...or lay in a fetal position in his arms...or perhaps they have had too much 'togetherness' already and it is getting old!

When you compare that Ellen interview, with other similar interviews from the past, there is a marked difference between the couple that was just on Ellen and other 'somewhat' successful couples. Andy and Tessa. Trista and Ryan. Byron and Mary. Meredith and Ian. These couples couldn't keep their hands off of each other. In fact, the reuniting of Meredith and Ian was downright steamy and it was almost like they forgot that someone was interviewing them. So, yes, it's confusing to me watching them interact as a newly engaged couple and not seeing the kind of interaction that one would expect to see. Completely confusing; particularly when what we have to compare it with is her draped on his back or his front...always cuddled with him. Why not even a snuggle now? What happened to 'Monkey?'
Well here is my opinion, Matt/Shayne has stated that they had been together more than most bachelor couples, they pushed for it......You know what, I thought they sat seat appropriate, if they would have been all over each other some would have still seen/said that they were acting.....So for me I will say believers will believe and doubters will doubt, I am one of those people believe in myself to interpret what I see for myself.......So I will continue to do so and no disrespect, it's just how I am....

I caught that too and I felt like he was insulting the me as a viewer as well. It was like he didn't think we would know what an alter ego is.

The thing I'm curious about is why one interview...there are snuggly like & then the CH interview she has her hand laying inside his arm somewhat droopy. It's only at the end of that interview that we see Matt hold her hand with his right one. The Ellen show...there was definately a space in between them starting out. The couch setting was perfect for him to snuggle up to her or for them to hold hands or he put his arm around her touching her the whole time & she could have a hand on his leg. Nothing but a few little teasing leans on his leg or touches to Matt & then his arm was loosely draped over the back of the sofa & not till the very end did he touch her shoulder. The argument that if they were to be to close people would question if this is fake doesn't cut it with me. Because in this case, one time they are doing it & others they are not is what is giving me questions. Everyone of us know what it is like when falling in love with a person....you can't keep your hands off of the person period. Some way or another you have to touch a person & they reciprocate back immediately.

They must be in a fight right now because all I get from watching them on the ellen show is a distance and they aren't coming across as being in love to me at all because Shayne kept constantly interrupting matt and I felt she was talking down to him... she also wasn't paying a lot of attention to him whereas I think matt might be more in like with shayne than shayne is with him if you get my drift.
I didn't realize there was a "Happy Couple" marketing campaign on that site. Hmmm...why doesn't she have extensions anymore? Was this done recently? I noticed she didn't seem to have extensions on Ellen either.

Still too much distance at the start. When she wraps her arms around Matt he seems to be going in for a kiss and she turns her face and puts it against his right shoulder. Cut: producers come in and make them sit closer together. Action! Even when they are sitting closer together she has her body in such a way that...how do you explain it...shoulder out and not shoulder in. Shoulder out reads as avoidance whereas shoulder in would have read as affectionate and cuddling. Matty boy didn't seem to impressed that she said that Chelsea had no class. He rolls his tongue around in his mouth while looking around plus he looks to go red in the cheeks. Cut: producers tell them to smile more; laugh more; cuddle more. Action! Shayne looks to zone off while he is talking about the ring then remembers the ring. I do believe that he picked that ring *for* Shayne and that he wasn't humming and hawwing at the end as to who to pick. There is more smiles and more laughter. Then, shoulder in this time, Matt rubs her right shoulder, they are all cuddly and smiling.

Seriously, watch it again without the volume and see if you see what I'm seeing here. This is hilarious!

I also watched the exit interview from Chelsea and I'm shocked that they are letting that air. Yikes! He told her that he loved her and couldn't wait to tell her that when he was allowed to? Or something along those lines. He essentially said his fiance was stupid and apologized for dumbing down around Chelsea? Double yikes! Well, good luck to the *cough* happy couple. Who wants to take bets on just how many hours it will last?

This is what I'm trying to say and you said it so much better. In the early stages of romance, where things are new and exciting, lots of passion, you should always see signs of a 'question.' What I mean by that is that there is continual touching in some way. Hand holding where a thumb or finger is stroking the new love of your life's hand...it's a question in a way...are you still there? Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you regardless of what is going on around us. That kind of thing. It also evidences itself in leaning into each other to give a non-armed hug. Not squishy but bumping in a way. The same thing with leg touching or foot touching or patting/touching your love's arm. Sometimes it's subtle; other times it's obvious. For example, think about moving your leg back and forth and touching the love of your life with it. While that can have sexual connotations it is still the 'question' that I look for. "Do you know that I'm here?" We're together. I'm with you/him/her. It's a silent language, a romantic non-audible musical playing between them, that helps the emotional and physical connection flourish. I did see Matt do that two or three times but, overall, it was scarily lacking for the latest 'soulmates' from the show.

As a relationship blossoms and has more duration to it, for a happy relationship anyway, you should still see these 'questions' being played out. I see it all the time when I'm out at restaurants or walking down the street. I've said before how difficult it can be sometimes to feel like a voyeur but there are also positives, too. It reassures me that people can be passionate about each other, they have *that* secret, regardless of their age. So it's not *all* bad.

So Lynn, now that you've seen the interview, do you think Chelsea was lying by looking at her body language? She made it known on her myspace that that was how she felt. She certainly does not seem to regret saying it. I look forward to hearing your opinion!

That's certainly a very real possibility

Usually they are kissy, all over each other, thats why I felt they were distant here. More of how Chelsea is, more reserved demeanor, very little PDA. I want to be wrong, I want them to succede, but i'm feeling more uneasy all the time.
