jelle I totally agree with this. And I don't think she has been shoved down anyones throat either. Seems like people are pretty curious about her actually, they want to know more. Maybe just like Matt...

We have to accept that we did not see the entire discussion. The question is ... where are we being led with what we were shown and how does that fit with the developing story

Generally the actions we see of the eventual three or four characters create the story line. Others may simply be shown because they are entertaining.

Hmm...saw the new commercial...agree about the meeps being overplayed. It is being hammered as a subtext for Amanda and now for a second week a new subtext is emerging - dancing. They are showing us "things" about Amanda, but not Amanda.

Did you notice the other new entry - the Matt interview - is not about who he is looking for, but about Matt, himself. Why he "likes" American women and how humor at home shaped him. We learn more of his likes and dislikes - motor cars, soccer...and that he works (present tense) for an American bank - which we know is Citibank. The clip they show is of the arm wrestle to show American women being different. This is different than the other "know Matt Grant" interviews, in a way.
