Funny, I'm now remembering a provocative Playboy photo shoot that Lorenzo Lamas did with his ex-wife Shauna Sand. As I recall, they were either newlyweds or engaged when the spread appeared. I found it unusual at the time to have a celebrity male posing so intimately with his wife.

Bottom line; Shayne is simply following family tradition and probably no one close to her finds it a big deal, Matt included. At least they didn't pose together.....

Matt was very, very tired during that interview. I heard he was pretty close to exhaustion and not feeling well at all.

How many posters remember that Sarah got the MOST screen time during Travis' Season???? If I recall correctly, many thought that she was getting prepared for a position as a journalist or something like that.

I am a bit confused... they finished filming The Bachelor, what, three months ago? During which time he has been hanging out in LA at ABC's expense doing absolutely nothing but a weekly half hour teleconference and the odd interview on Ellen?

What exactly has he got to be exhausted about?

Unless faking true love for someone you hardly know is exhausting...

Just watch "The Soup" guess what the top story was? Yep, your right! It seems like Joel Mchale doesn't believe in the romance either. Matt and Shayne are getting some publicity even if it is a little on the negative side.

Well put! That's what I keep thinking. Yes, I know he's been back and forth to NY or London a few times, but seriously he's a young guy. I've seen people look better after serial all-nighters than he looks these days. And what's with the wardrobe?! ABC publicity is giving him no attention, that I can see. Gray pants, brown shoes, weird shirts. Next to Shayne, all dolled up for her Close-up a la Sunset Boulevard it's positively jarring.

This is the Big Moment, adrenalin if nothing else would carry one through. Yet, he has this Hang Dog "What Have I Gotten Myself Into" look in every appearance, not just one.

Contrast this with multiple post-filming appearances (Ellen, Chris Harrison, Yo on E) where he was pinked up and lively and funny and interactive. Now he's kind of snarky and hollow-eyed. Not exactly the portrait of a Young Man in Love. Indeed, not even the portrait of Young Man in Love with the Public Eye. At least Shayne has that glow about her.

In terms of the relative morality among the final 3, it's silly to debate it at at some level. It's like studying animal behavior in captivity and making scientific judgments about how they would behave in the wild. The experiment is contaminated by the interference of producers and writers and editing.

Post-show, it's a bit less artificial. Shayne wants celebrity, and the GGW spread was a means to that end. There is no other way to understand her decision to pose for those photos. Whatever it says about her morality (very little probably), it says that she wants and craves public attention. Matt thinks he wants that too. But lately, he doesn't look like his Love Affair with the camera is going so well.
