In Chelsea's diary of the departed she said yesterday Matt had called Shayne stupid, but that can't be correct because he was with Shayne on their LCD for the day and I assume most of the night as well. We know Chelsea's date was first because she told him not tol have fun with Shayne tomorrow. IF that is true he didn't say that to her the night before he proposed to Shayne.

First, Trista's Bachelorette contract is on Smoking Gun. I think it's in the archives here too.

Second, IMO many of the clauses in the contracts are unenforceable. They rely on nobody testing them in court. Chief among the issues is lack of consideration. It's a one-way contract.

Third, I don't think Shayme even has an agent. What kind of agent would book a starlet onto the pages of GirlsGoneWild?

Thanks for the info, Zinnia! I'll go have a poke around TSG in a little bit and see if I can find anything interesting. I agree that a lot of it is probably unenforceable and depends on people choosing not to take it to court in the first place. As for Shayne, if she doesn't have an agent, she should get one. Wouldn't you think she'd have one, though? She's trying to build a career in Hollywood, it would make sense, and I bet she has connections through her family.

I think if Shayne and Matt stay in LA, it'll be for Shayne's career, not Matt's. Imo, she has a much better chance of building a career than Matt does (in Hollywood). Matt's cute in his British way but he's not your typical ripped, tanned type, and I don't know how he'd market/define himself for a showbiz career. On the other hand, England and the tabloid culture there love themselves a good looking young woman who's willing to get herself out there at the clubs etc. to be photographed.

I think Chelsea was probably referring to the last time she and Matt were together, which would have been her LCD.

You can't have it both ways - either it's a fake and a set-up with no real connection (other than looking for publicity), or it's a real connection.

I'm getting confused as to how posters are flip-flopping here - they want to talk about what a fake farce it was, then they want to slam "Shayme" by wondering what her "future in-laws" will think.....if it's a farce, she won't be marrying their son, if it is something for them to be concerned about, then it isn't a fake......people need to make up their minds as to which scenario it is and not go beating a dead horse.

Why does it have to be one or the other for Matt's parents to think badly about the whole situation?

If it is the real thing, then maybe they are wondering why their future DIL is posing for a publication such as GGW? If it is a sham, they still have to be wondering why their son would get wrapped up in all of this. I think a lot of us fall in between it being a setup and it being the real thing. All we are doing is speculating about the situation in the spoilers and speculation portion of The Bachelor forum....

I see no reason for Matt or his parents to be upset about the GGW because I think the engagement is a total sham. Honestly, as a parent of two grown daughters I would NOT take any showmance engagement seriously, but this one particularly reeks of staging. His parents would know the true story. There is no serious talk, imo, of this relationship moving forward. All the talk is "we'll see.. . get to know each other more. . . don't know where we'll live, etc." I DO feel that things such as this will be used to explain the breakup. Something like "incompatibility of lifestyles".

well i am european and i know we are more open when it comes to nudety , but i admit puting a tanga in somebodys jacket is cheep and nasty, while the pic cute , there is nothing nasty about these pics

I have relatives in Italy, and nudity on beaches is a common ocurrence. I woudn't feel comfortable going, but Europeans typically are more comfortable with nudity than Americans are. I think the problem is the magazine that the pics are in, but again, I think Shayne saw it as a job.

Reading Chelsea's last interview she sounds like she still respects the guy, if he was that awful would she have fell for him?

The question remain and if he was saying all those things about Shayne to her would she have fell for him? That is what is so puzzling for me, how could you fall in love with a man who is trash talking another woman in this situation, I can possibly see if this was in the outside world in a normal setting but it wasn't......From her interview it seems she spent alot of time talking to him about Shayne, when she should have spent that time talking about their relationship not about how he was in love with Shayne and they were so different........I dunno, it's just wierd to me......
