Ok, I guess I should have come here first. A friend of mine just told me about this and I posted over in the thought & comments thread. You know, people have also been saying that Matt has sounded kind of short tempered and so forth and maybe he found out about this and was not happy in the slightest. But for her to do this and be "so in love" and "newly engaged", it is shameful. IMO

To follow up on my earlier post I just found this bit on ET Online that gives Shayne's rationale for posing for that particular magazine as you say:

"The Bachelor" winner SHAYNE LAMAS is playing cover girl for the upcoming issue of the Girls Gone Wild Magazine, on stands June 3.

In the interview, which was conducted after she was chosen by "Bachelor" MATT GRANT but before she was allowed to reveal the show's outcome, Shayne spoke about her future husband.

"He's very casual, respectful of women," she said.

Shayne says she decided to pose for the magazine because, "To me, Girls Gone Wild is about fun and freedom. It's a way for a girl to express confidence in herself."

Thank you for the clarification and I'm sure people are entitle to their opinion but to me...I like a woman who feel good about herself. I don't know but I just adored her and Matt together and hope that they work out. For Chelsea...I wish her the best and she is very attractive also...and many more wonderful future for her but I don't see it with Matt.

I refuse to condemn ANY of these women for spray tanning in their skivvies on TV/changing their panties on TV/posing for GGW mags. Let's be honest here, these women are, in the cold hard reality of showbiz land, Z-List. Self-promotion is often the name of the game here, unfortunately, so even though I would not be interested in a career in La La Land, if a woman IS interested in one, she's got to get out there and I'm not going to make any cracks about lack of 'class' or 'shamefulness' etc. Hell, look at Paris Hilton. I find her to be a disgusting human being, but I doubt she minds what I think of her as she laughs her way to the bank! Why *not* capitalize on being young and attractive?

One thing I will say is that I am displeased with whoever is managing Shayne. GGW?! Really? Maxim is Vogue next to GGW. My reason for feeling a little appalled about this is actually because I think Shayne is worth more than GGW and that sleazy, hideous little pig Joe Francis (ask me how I really feel!). As a friend, mother, big sister, whatever, I'd want to keep any young woman I had any feelings for AWAY from that man. Her manager should have tried to get her into one of the more middle-brow mags (i.e. Maxim) and of course the best would have been an ironic-cheesy GQ photospread, I just doubt she's famous enough for that at this point.

OK, what am I saying...rambling too much here! I guess my point is that Shayne appears to be a warm, funny, emotionally intelligent young woman with a lot to offer. It makes me sad for her that she's in GGW mag, and I wish she/her people had aimed higher. But am I going to condemn her for it? No way, it's her life and her career.

You're so right...I'm sure Matt will have to deal with living on the public eye now. As the show finish but they will be on camera eye for a very long time.
