I truly can't recall (and I've seen them all!) a bachelor who so clearly wanted to keep the record straight. To say what he did about Stacey and the panties spoke volumes to me and I do believe him when he says he IS in love--not "I found love," which can mean he DID, but isn't anymore.

I think after last year they realize they have to tread lightly and not be too over the top with predictions and such. I want things to work out for the couple but let's be honest the track record for the show has been dismal.
I mean the show has gotten burned with Brad and to some degree Andy and Tessa, which they touted as the most amazing proposal and love story....they were done less than six months later. Far too many times we have all seen gross exaggerations on the show, “the most dramatic rose ceremony ever”, the “most shocking rose ceremony ever”….and most of the time it really isn’t. I think the show is seriously in trouble with its core audience. They need to be careful not to lose true fans. They need to manage expectations so he is being positive but also realistic.

I still think Amanda is the winner and saying that "hey they lived across the ocean at the same time" would be a clear give away. Amanda is already leading with the FIR so they need to move her out of the spotlight. Based on the description Shayne will be front and center moving forward. You see her in the midst of several fights and discussion in the season previews. I suspect that because the winner for the first time got the FIR they need to handle it differently. They can't make obvious statements.

Tiger Pride Mom she said she lived in Banbury for 4 years, Banbury is northwest of London on the M-40 motorway. It's about 65 miles from Banbury to Bishops Stortford as the crow flies.

It's about 10 miles from RAF Upper Heyford which used to be a US Air Force base until it closed in 1993. I believe from what I've read about Amanda R, that she was an Air Force dependent. Military.com shows a Paul Rantucci as a member of the USAF, together with the fact that she was born in Clovis NM (just next to Cannon AFB) and she listed her hometown as Niceville, FL (Eglin AFB).

Just to clarify, my quote didn't say this...I said that when Chris talks about it, it might MEAN that... None of us would be so dim as to not get the bolded statement... I am simply commenting that Chris often gives a clue when he describes how it went.. Because he DIDN'T give a clue, I don't think Amanda wins. I of course reserve the right to change my mind next week, or any time between now and the FRC

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only time I remember Chris making such an overtly obvious clue "Just think, they went all the way to Paris for it to turn out like this.." was in Travis' season and it turned out to be a bit of a blunder on Chris' part. I've always assumed we haven't had an obvious clue like that since then because it kind of backfired on them, since Sarah and Travis didn't turn out to much of anything.

Granted, I only started sleuthing hard during Meredith's season, but I don't remember big clues from Chris that actually panned out to anything except for the one about Paris and his big honking "the sun dropped out of the clouds" whle gesturing off to the left, describing the FRC to Kennedy - in the week we were waiting for Andy's FRC and debating F1 positions.
