I don't know about the plastic surgery other then the silicone that was discussed earlier. But, the way she applied her make-up was definitely an issue. It was something the girls are probally accustomed to and could or would not say anything about.

Nobody is questioning her mothering abilities - but as a friend, take her to makeup counter, or have a home makeup party and suggest she try something different or more modern, you'd be doing her a big favour. JMO

aanjheni, once again I totally agree with you. Shayne's mother's nature was so apparent to me during the home town visit. She's sweet, she's vivacious, and most importantly she raised what seem to be very level headed children.

Matt also has had nothing but nice things to say about her. I'm sure it's not easy opening yourself up to criticism by appearing on national television in support of your daughter. Speaking for myself, I'd be so scared that all of my worst thoughts about myself were going to be exaggerated on and become fodder for the masses. The fact that she went out of her way for Shayne, tells me all I need to know about her.

I know casualfan - there is no way I could go on tv! I even hate having my picture taken, let alone be on a television show that broadcasts everywhere!

On the Antiques Roadshow: I totally agree. I didn't want to sound like I was criticizing, but since my mother is English, I know from whence I speak!

You'll never have a waiter or waitress in England (or all of Europe for that matter), sit down and start telling you about their kids or get excited when you order dessert.

I understand completely about changing life focus, I just see what many others have seen, a lack of enthusiasm.

As for Andy Baldwin, he is Mr. Sunshine and smiling and we hardly ever saw anything else, except when he cried.....

It took me awhile but I found it - she was beautiful when she was younger, Shayne looks like her, except for the nose area JMO I also saw her recent myspace picture, she looked great in that one too. Do you think she just over did it for the camera's that day? thinking she needed more than she really did. I know sometimes people use a heavier hand when applying it for pictures etc

I'll apologize for the hideous comment but tell her to tone it down for the wedding (just kidding)
